Absolutely unacceptable. We called to make a reservation and reserve a studio and she said that everything was OK. When we arrived 20 minutes later she told us that was fully booked.nDon't trust them!
Our car broke down on the way to the motel. We got stuck in duvauchelles for hours and had to call a tow truck from Christchurch. Rang motel to say what had happened and unfortunately it was out of our control that we couldn’t make so had to cancel booking.nGot charged full amount even tho never stayed. Asked for consideration due to circumstances out of our control but no leniency given.nDisappointed and won’t use this motel again.nPlease note that their cancellation policy does state if cancelled within 24 hours of booking then full charge will be made to the credit card number given to hold it.nAs stated no leniency was given.nWon’t use this motel again.
Comfy wee room with a spa bath which worked great. Check in process was a bit different where there is no one at the desk and you just fill out details, collect keys and go to your room. Conveniently located and with on site parking we didn’t have to drive and park in town anywhere.
Room was tidy and beds comfortable. Great location and lovely hosts
Owners not there. We have rooms booked but couldn't confirm as owners were in China. last time we went there, they were in Chch. The person on front desk couldn't help as all the rooms were booked out for the dates we requested and couldn't see who they were booked for?
