Thank you for your interest in our shopping visit to your store today. We understand the difficulties of the times with staff shortages and product shortages. However there were a lot of staff on the floor today! We wanted to purchase a light fitting for the ceiling. We noticed that the display board lacked prices so it was hard to match up the light on the shelf that suited our needs best. It wasn't easy to find what we were looking for. I saw a staff member at the end of the aisle and asked if he knew about products in the lighting section. He said he did. We soon realised after we told him what we were looking for he didn't. We worked out ourselves that you didn't have the light fitting with the 'cool light effect' there were only 'warm light effect' lights which we didn't want! We noticed there were lots of gaps on the shelf also. Unfortunately he didn't give us options like he could check other branches. My husband then needed a product to stop a hole in a wall but a different staff person didn't know and fortunately a customer in the line said he knew and advised my husband what he needed and where. We then bought a couple of items and left. We decided to try Bunnings on our way home and found the light fitting we wanted to buy. We prefer shopping at MITRE 10 but it is very frustrating not to find staff that know about the products! Regards,Alison Hobbs
Today I went into the store with a problem I was having assembling my cooling fan I bought in the store 2 days ago - Matt Payne was an outstanding help - reassuring / technically savvy and willing to help a lady in distress ! Seriously he is a credit to your organisation - old fashioned 100 percent customer serve and he would make a great trainer - so helpful and in this busy festive season much appreciated his willingness to help me - thank you Matt
Dec 2022 This is still my go to "Home Hardware" store. Things were busy when I called in. The staff were very busy and helpful at the same time. This is my "Home Hardware" store, closest to my home. It certainly provides 90% of my home hardware requirements. A wide selection of products which saves time and money. All staff seem to have a great knowledge of what stock is on hand and where it is. That speeds the shopping process up. Always going back to M10 for sure! Back again for more bits and pieces to start my next project. Helpful staff were friendly and efficient and I was on my way with the items I required.
Best Garden Centre on the North Shore - and they have lots of other good stuff too. In addition to having an excellent range of plants products and services, the best thing about this M10 is the excellent advice you can get from the experienced and well informed staff - they really do enjoy you asking! Decided to go to Mitre 10 because I thought they would have friendly staff “experts” that would be willing to help point me to the right direction on the materials I’d need to remove an insinkerator and change it back to a sink drain. Whilst I was there, I couldn’t find anyone who bothered enough to ask if I needed help; after 5 minutes of waiting around, I finally found a staff member but was told that they’re from the check-out department and wouldn’t have a clue because they don’t work in the plumbing section he was nice about it though. I then found this staff chilling around in the plumbing aisle so I approached her and explained what I wanted to do. After not even looking like half interested to what I was saying, she replied that she wouldn’t know either and that I’d likely need to go to a plumbing store for it so Mitre 10 doesn’t stock any plumbing materials for simple DIY???. Anyway, she walked out straightafter and that was fine and all until I saw her chatting to another staff member and my partner was standing nearby hearing their conversation. Guess what, she was talking about me in a condescending manner because I asked for help on what i’ll need to remove an insinkerator and replace it with a sink drain! What a waste of time to have even considered going to Mitre 10. After that incident, I decided to to take my business to Bunnings instead and found out that I didn’t even need to go to a plumbing shop to get the materials because it’s readily available in Bunnings, who knew.
I am going to end my long standing association with this place. I have spent a lot of money here and supported them rather than the Bunnings next door as it is a NZ company. I tried to return plumbing products in perfect condition with all instructions but not in original packaging clear plastic bag and cardboard tab. They declined. I reminded them that almost all plumbing products didn't have packaging and they agreed but said "this one does and it's not here." I advised that I bought other products from them which were not in original packaging and he said "you must always make sure that you buy products in original packaging." I am not going there to create an argument. Bunnings next door is likely cheaper anyway. Adios to Mitre10 Glenfield. Thanks for all the help up until today.
Terrible customer service at the trade yard. Trying to get 40 GIB, and an old irrigant man came out and said I could only take ten sheets. Luckily, we got bunnings right next; we quickly got everything we wanted there. Never Mitre10
Great hardware and cafe combo. The selection of merchandise is comprehensive and the food satisfies most taste buds. Win win.
Came in today for some large pots and plants. A new gardening assistant helped me organise 5 trolleys with pots, soil and plants on and found out how many bags of soil I'd need, then helped me load it all in the car. Excellent service and really happy with the purchase. Love being able to come in store again. Thank you.
We spoke to about 5 staff at the store today & every single one was so helpful & friendly. Was so obvious they enjoy helping & relating to people, stunnonh
