Merrin Street Brewery Bar

Had the most delicious dinner on Friday night. The Fish of the Day was superb with lots of flavour in the creamy sauce with plenty of seasonal vegetables and roast potatoes and roasted tomato. I had chocolate cake for dessert which was yummy too.

Really enjoyed our meals, cocktails were great as well. Service was exceptional, from the last minute booking right through to paying the bill, friendly and accommodating staff.nAtmosphere was good, very busy little place, especially on a Tuesday it would seem, as they have a quiz night. But to be fair, that didn't impact us at all. We were seated at a cost little table for two, and it suited us perfectly.nThe pork belly bites were some of the best I've had, excluding my own if course .nThe chicken salad was awesome, as was the steak salad, and getting a decent whiskey sour, even though it wasn't on the cocktail list....no worries at all. Overall, an excellent experience all round, we will definitely be back with friends.

Good cocktails and lovely Sunday roast!nThe tall table in the bar section is slightly uncomfortable to sit around and the table in the restaurant area can get a bit cramped when the place is full! I had Sunday roast for my dinner while my husband had a pizza which was quite dry and bland. The staff was okay but seem stressed when the place was busy for dinner time.

The staff at Merrin’s were some of the best we have come across. They were so friendly, cheerful and nothing was a problem. We ordered the platter which was delicious and surprisingly large, easily feeding three of us. So many gluten free options as well which we always look for.
