Hornby Club

Pavilion Lounge wonderful for coffee break. Had breakfast there once as well on a trip through Christchurch, huge plate. The Eggs Beni were excellent, as was the potato mash with mushrooms, spinach and eggs. Great Service too.nAnother trip we had Roast of the Day in the Sports Bar in the evening. Great value. Pork and roast vegetables perfectly cooked and presented. Only minus...NO crackling.

Went out of their way to accommodate us wife was in a wheelchair at the time and public lift was out of order for service but they used the service lift to get us to the reception hall on level 1 staff were great

We used the Hornby Club for our work conference a month ago during Christmas period. I had ordered Apricot Chicken Pizza which wasn’t that bad but for the price could surely do better. The ladies though that served were nice and attentive so that offsets the not so good experience with their food.

Delicious roast beef and vegetables. Generous size. But I would have appreciated the provision of some mustard, and the excellent gravy ran out a bit too soon. Perhaps we should have asked for a supplementary boat...

If I could rate this no stars I would. The duty manager was extremely rude, the some of the staff were rude to the customers while serving, the tables were not cleared so I cleared and wiped my own table just so my family could eat at a clean table. Because of the rude management and staff the atmosphere was terrible and the other customers feed off the negativity. Some of the staff also seemed frustrated by how some staff members were speaking to them.nFood was the saving grace. The filo was a little burnt in places but flavor was nice. Did take a while to come out though fot cabinet food unfortunately.nnYou really need to do better.
