Story

Welcome to Ma maison which in French means 'my home'.

Rod Parkinson (Owner / Chef) has created a style of food which is contemporary, yet based on classic techniques, using the finest local and New Zealand ingredients.

We hope you enjoy our menu as much as Rod has enjoyed creating it for you, and we thank you for choosing our Restaurant to dine.

Lovely place, well presented and very friendly staff. The food if I'm honest, was nice but not amazing. I was disappointed with my flank steak. I've never had this cut of steak before but it wasn't great. I asked for rare and it came out medium / medium-well, we were in a rush so I ate it anyway but it was very chewy, hard to swallow. The chips were divine and so was the sauce but the steak was a let down. The chicken dish on the other hand was lovely and tender, not dry at all. The ice tea was very refreshing.
Lovely restaurant hidden in the side roads. Great service, delicious food. Their escargot were big, juicy and flavourful. The meat were tender and pasta was fresh.
We loved this restaurant and the service was really good. We ordered escargot, it was big and tasted so good. I ordered Lamb chops, outside was crispy and inside was so juicy, really good. My husband ordered Grilled shrimp, he said this was the best Grilled shrimp he never had. Overall, we love this restaurant
Our shipmates recommended Viking river cruise this place because they want night before! It was very good, three waiters all very friendly and check on us often for our needs! The escargot was out of this world for starter, we have avocado tartare too! The two main courses were also so good, especially the veal stew, that Kitchen almost don’t have to wash that cast iron pot! If we come back to Paris again, we will for sure to have another meal there.
Cool place to visit, cozy vibes. The food is delicious, service is wonderful, best wine I’ve ever had too. Highly recommend the lemon pie, it’s excellent. Overall great experience!!

Traditional French restaurant with a cozy vibe. Confit canard was amazing and cooked to perfection. The server was going through training but we were happy to accommodate her. Her heart was in it. Desserts were also delectable. My colleague who is usually insatiable raved about his French toast. I had the crème brûlée pistache and it was wonderful!
Very attentive service. Delicious food from escargot, baked Camembert cheese with honey, Lamb shank, duck breast & creme brulee. Duck was a bit tough. Creme brulee melted in your mouth. Would recommend and return.

The best decision was to leave this restaurant. The manager was insanely rude. We reserved a table on the phone, and then called them again that we will be 15 min late due to paris traffic. The manager said we had no reservation and that we never called. So glad that we left as we had a great dinner at a way better restaurant!!
