Awesome food and very friendly service. We had the tuna crudo, scallops and pickled mussel as starters before sharing the lamb as a main. Everything was fresh and tasty. The desserts Chocolate Cremeux and Basque Cheescake were both also delicious. We had a great time, and since we stay a few more days in Akaroa we will be back again before we leave. Thank you Jules!
A lovely setting in stunning Akaroa!nWe were welcomed to our table, the first surprise was how sticky the wooden table was. We raised this with our waitress, who apologised, but explained it was the cleaning products they used. Despite her efforts to clean it, the stickiness remained. A table cloth would have been an easy fix.nnThe food was spectacular, not quite so keen on the smashed potato, but the steak, lamb and vegetables were faultless!!nA great experience!nOur waitress was fabulous!nnWe would absolutely recommend!
Such a beautiful restaurant by the harbour with the most amazing view!nnThe staff were warm, friendly, and attentive! We especially loved the gentleman who served our table, he made the experience even better.nnThe scallops were outstanding, honestly Michelin-worthy. I’ve never tasted scallops cooked that way before, we were so impressed! The seafood linguine was also very good and satisfying.nWould highly recommend!
From the beginning to the end of the meal it was a divine experience. Extremely helpful wait staff and lots of great options on the menu. Had a bit of a hiccup with the beef fillet. Ordered it medium rare and when it came out it looked a bit well done. The chef explained this steak cut was prepared with the sous vide method and the juiceness/redness took a minute or two to come through! Exceptional!!
The scallops were beautiful and the linguini had a variety of seafood. We asked for all our food to be brought out at the same time which they did, and quickly, which I was appreciative of as we were all quite hungry! My husband ordered a steak but wasn't advised by the waitress that sides should be ordered with it like potatoes and veg, he literally just got a piece of meat on his plate. The creme brulee with the rhubarb wasn't as good as I thought it would be, the mushy rhubarb didn't add to the dish. Lovely views out to the harbor both inside and out, excellent service by everyone who served us.
