Went there for dinner.nFood was awesome, great taste and cooked to perfection. Wine was also good and they serve some. Very delicious Gin Tonic!nOnly drawback was that the starter we ordered got forgotten but since the portions were of a good size it wasn't that bad.
Possibly the best meal I’ve ever had. All the food was beautiful and well presented. More importantly, the taste was spectacular. Our party of 4 could not decide whether the perfectly cooked calamari or the delicately flavoured salmon crudo was our favourite. They were both delicious. Our mains of the best blue cod and chips in Akaroa along with a yummy beef fillet stood out as well. The only disappointing dish was the risotto. However, who orders Italian at a French restaurant? All in all, we can’t wait to return to Ma Maison next time we’re in Akaroa!
Came here a couple weekends ago and had a superb time! My partner and I reserved a table out back and the view was absolutely stunning!nMy partner ordered the pork belly and I ordered the salmon as well as a drink each. We were both very happy with our meals though we wouldn’t have minded a bit more food on the plate! I was advised the salmon was caught fresh THAT DAY and I could tell. The freshness was obvious and so tasty. Would absolutely recommend coming here if you can.
Such a great find for some light bites and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend the salmon crudo!
I can say it was perfect brunch for us.nWe didn't planned which restaurant we would go.nDuring walk, we heard noisy sound due to their exterior upgrade, and I thought the name was lovely.nMa maison means my house in French.nnThe big boat which is having on the ceiling was interesting, and the staffs were very kind and caring.nnThe food choice was great luckily.nWe had seared scallops, some mushroom with sour dough, and with extra some side menu.nnThe scallops were fresh and cooked perfectly, and it melted in my mouth.nThe mushrooms food was tasty, but personal it could be much better with some meats such as bacon to add a bit of saltiness.nnIf I visit Akaroa again, I will definitely choose the scallops again.
