John Chan Takeaway

Having sampled all the sea dogs on the Te Atatū peninsula we can say with veracity that John Chan’s is truly the best. Toasty bun with grilled cheese, robust batter on the surimi stick, onion, and of course a lavish amount of sauce. Truly the crème de la crème de le chien, the top of the dogs for us.

Always consistent nice and fresh Chinese food. Could maybe have a bit more meat in the meat dishes though. Staff friendly. Phone order as they get busy. Only open from 4pm Vegetarian options: Requests taken Parking: Parking outside or the carpark next door. Wheelchair accessibility: Flat and counter low.

AMAZING food, amazing people, one of my absolute favorite places and I've tried a LOT. A great selection including all the typical dishes and a handful of specialties, the quality is consistent high I've never had a bad dish from here and they're very reasonably priced. Will be going here as long as they're open

Excellent quality fresh food, very friendly service with a smile. Chicken chow mein and shanghai beef, highly recommended. Will try a different dish next time, curious about the chef's specialties now.
