Hutt Hospital Emergency Department

I walked in for a suspected broken finger at 10am on a Saturday and I was immediately seen by the receptionist. They arranged a lovely St John's helper to fill in the forms for me as I couldn't write. Then the on duty doc had a quick look and have me some pain killers. Then i was taken Into a room to see a doctor, then x-rays, then results and a splint. Next thing I knew I was home with a prescription. All and all it was about 2 hours which is much quicker then I expected. Thank you!

Wait time was short staff sorted my sick friend who was having a mental health breakdown.nTreated with care and attention.nGreat nurses over worked junior doctors.nKeep up the great work

Almost all of their staff are wonderful people. They showed such kindness and compassion to me when I was in there. I am so grateful for their quality care.

Came to ED with my midwife 2 years ago coz I got bleeding issue during pregnancy. I was prioritised to be checked although it was late. The nurses and doctors were very nice and patient too.

Over a 12 hour wait, ridiculous and unnecessary. normal GP/doctors from clinic aren’t free till next year either I’d rather die quite frankly!
