Greenview Motel

This hotel is so bad in many levels. I regret not reading reviews before I booked and paid. There is no AC, granted they have fan, but you have to open the window to let air in and the noise was constant late into the night. If you’re a light sleeper, it’ll be hard to fall asleep. The building was never get remodeled since it was probably built in the 50’s. I’ve been in many hotels with old building but can still have nice experiences.nThe only thing provided is bath towel and hand towel, that’s it! Not even soap to wash your hands at the sink, let alone hair dryer!!! For the price they charge, I can’t believe how stingy they are with amenities!!!nnThe town itself is great to visit. It’s an hour drive from Hobbiton and it have very active thermal springs all over town. The geological history of this place is fascinating. I’d love to come back to explore more but definitely not back to this hotel!

Great hotel on a budget. Rooms were stocked and clean. Hot tub wasn't open. Room was VERY loud. You can hear all the traffic and there wasn't any air conditioning or fans so you had to open a window because it got so stuffy and hot. We could hear the trucks and road so clearly whether the windows were shut or not. Staff was so helpful and friendly, especially for late check in!

A bit highly priced for the room that we got.. had various issues but we can't complain. Overall the room we got was quiet but had bugs coming in in the night for the lights in the bathroom. Utilities were outdated and had a electric leak from the oven. Greenview motel you need to get a refurbishment for your hotel which I'm sure more holiday-goers will appreciate very much, and you will do better business wise. Just a small idea from me.

Nice, polite reception staff, and great price, so expected little. I got what I paid for.nMattress should have been replaced a decade ago, lights odd colours, creamer not milk, fan so broken it was dangerous, shower pressure and heat all over the place.... pools utterly filthy and unusable.nnOtherwise...fine. LOL.

Whilst the exterior needs a bit of care, and we were a bit apprehensive in the beginning, the rooms were clean and tidy and comfortable and were great value if you have a tight budget. There are also hot pools. The staff seemed friendly
