Foundry

The Foundry is very average and benefits a lot from there being no other bars in the area. I've been many time and the food is meh. The staff are always lovely and kind though. I ordered the vegan burger and I will say it looks great but it didn't have much flavour. The fish and chips was ok but the fish wasn't big enough especially considering it looks frozen! This place would benefit from a more extensive menu, and cheaper meals, after all it's meant for students but I certainly couldn't afford to come here often as a student. The meals are around $15 each with a student discount.

Very good prices, descent drinks and pints, not so much the food thou, tastes very cheap and rough on edges.

A great place to get good food and any drink you may like. A licensed bar with helpful and efficient staff. Located in The University of Canterbury's student union building it helps the students by offering really very good prices.

Visited on Thursday party night. It was a mono night. Really enjoyed the DG and atmosphere. Loved this pub.. ! The beer and wine selection is great and the staff are really friendly and helpful. This place is mostly for Canterbury University students. Nice location. New building is look great and specious.

A clean & quiet place to sip coffee & chat. It also provides a modest menu, trivia night & live music to boot.

Really disappointed. Bouncer made fun of me for only having 3 drinks before I lined up. Said "me and my mates used to have a 24 pack before we came to mono". The people in line behind me laughed and made fun of me along with the bouncer. Not happy with my experience with him. The rest of the night was great however, great bar staff and atmosphere! Loved the music!
