Cranford Ale House

On our first visit there was a pricing discrepancy. We were impressed as to how quickly Jane responded and corrected this.nThe staff in the restaurant are fabulous - both friendly and accomodating. Preet needs a special mention as she was lovely.nMy husband had the lamb shanks and he loved it he just wanted more sauce! I had a ribeye steak - there was something odd about it and I couldn’t eat the first one - the second one was better.nWe also ordered the churros for dessert and they were delicious - they were slightly undercooked in the middle which made them taste so good!nSeemed to be a popular place to go for the 2 for $30 schnitzel dinner on a Wednesday.

Family meal, very hot day was nice to sit inside and feel cool. The wait staff was lovely, very efficient and professional. We enjoyed our mains good value for money. I ordered the loaded wedges on the bar menu. Man those wedges just kept coming lol sour cream and cheese under the top wedges... happy days!! I took half home because I was full. We really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere. The toilets were very clean. Parking was tight and saw cars tucked into the waitomo next door. Nice wee pub will go back.

Had a networking lunch on a Monday afternoon and it was very nice. Had the lunch special schnitzel... very tasty, nice gravy, and plenty of it. Walked out satisfied. I'm sure the atmosphere is far better at different times... was understandably pretty quiet Monday lunchtime, but it was warm, music was not intrusive, and service was good.

Staff were attentive but we once again had to ask for a bottle of water seems to be a theme at most restaurants these days. Service and atmosphere were excellent.n6 of us dined tonight for a family birthday celebration.nMost of the food was great. But the steak came out well done instead if medium rare. And the fish in the fish and chip menu was well overdone making the batter too crispy.nWe had to ask for the drink that came with the specials menu right at the end of the meal.nOverall a very good local that my extended family visit often, that serves good food and has excellent atmosphere and staff.

Went here as a family group of six on Saturday night. Didn’t have a booking but staff were accommodating. Fortunately we got in before the rush as they were busy.nnWe all enjoyed our food. Ribs were incredibly tender.nnWould come back.
