Bison BBQ

First time in Bison BBQ. It was recommended by a colleague and husband is a lover of ribs and always looking for great tasting and tender ribs in Christchurch! It was his first time trying Lamb ribs and Bison did not disappoint! The meat was tender and yummy . For me, I chose the brisket and sausage and it was perfect and tasty. The location is also a delight especially if weather is sunny. It has good views of the water and nice to watch some people wind surfing. The sides are great and I was not a fan of pickles but I did finish the pickles. Love the selection of sauces as well. Service is good. We will definitely come back.

We’ve been here for a drink before and swore we would be back to try all the yummy food, and we are so glad we did. We ordered the share platter and it was amazing. The meat was tasty and a perfect size for 2. Highly recommend, and blows the competition out of the water. Friendly, fast service makes this place a winner. The jalapeño cornbread is also a bonus!

Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Quaint internal restaurant with an inviting outdoor area complete with fire and blankets ready for the warmer evenings.nWe opted for the 2 person shared platter, which was a great way to be able to sample the menu we thought. The platter was well presented, and whilst our initial thoughts were the food was on the lighter side for 2, it ended up being the perfect amount as we weren't left feeling like we'd over eaten.nBy far the best Brisket I've ever had! Some very yummy sauces as well.nWe also ordered a sneaky chocolate brownie for dessert, which was a larger portion that came warm with chocolate sauce and ice cream, just how we like it!

Wow! We went for valentines day. Small indoor area with only restricted seating so make sure you book! Heaps of outdoor seating with a lovely view though. The service was impeccable and their specials are great! The cocktail I had was so good!nThe cornbread was the only let down, we had a bite each only, didn't want to spoil our dinner but it wasn't the nicest. We ordered the platter for 2 and it was incredible, definitely enough food, plus we had leftovers for lunch the next day I swear it was even better the following day. Overall delicious and can't wait to go back. Great price too

This place transports me back to the smoked barbecue joints in Texas. The food is packed with great flavor and there's a wide array of options to choose from! Their beer selection is impressive. The outdoor seating offers a beautiful view over the water, making the dining experience even better.
