2 Cheap Cars - Westgate

**If you don’t want to read the whole thing, We would like to advise you to be more patient and careful when purchasing a car from this company.nnWe purchased it on 12th August 2024, picked the vehicle on 15th August 2024Toyota Porte 2012. On the way bringing it home, it broke down on the motorway with all the red warning lights on with warning alert ended in turning it off by itself.nnWe rang the dealership and asked how to sort this out, they guarantee and they are going to take the responsibility and sort it out for us.nThe guy on the phonewho sold the car told us we can consider swap or refund if needed, he will bring this up to his manager for a quick solution.nOn the other hand, we were advised to fill up the claim form so we did.nnHowever, We had to only deal with customer service team and the communication between them wasn’t there at all so we had to explain from the scratch without hearing anything from the dealership guy or his manager. The customer service team continues asking us to drive all the way down from Silverdale where we live to Onehunga at their Hub.nWe are worried if it can happen again so we continued asking them to arrange tow truck or guy to pick the vehicle up.nnThey picked it up on 24th August, which is 10 day after the pick up.nnWe didn’t hear anything until 28th August so we have to contact the customer team again and again to hear any updates. We also enquired refund and swap processes as we started to consider them. However, they continued avoiding it and we were told that their manager is going to get back to us tomorrow and only manager can deal with swap/refund.nnWe waited the whole day to communicate with manager but we didn’t hear anything on 29th August.nWe contacted them once again on 30th August then they were apologetic but said their manager is going to contact us on the next day.nSame thing happened on the next day so we rang them again on 1st September. we were told that manager will get in touch with us by tomorrow hopefully.nWe waited til 3rd September and rang them again, fortunately I could reach manager right away as she picked up the phone.nClaim team manager does not have a right for swap/refund so she said she will be going to talk to operation manager.nnLater in the afternoon, we got told that it is declined because parts are coming from oversea now and we didn’t give them enough time to rectify and remedy the situation under CGA.nnCar dealership with CGA,nof acceptable quality – reasonable in look and finish, durable and safennOur car was not safe and durable, drivable enough so we couldn't even drive it back home and breakdown on the day we picked up on the motorway where cars are the fastest.nI am very wondering what can be considered as safe and durable condition?nnOn 3rd September at 4.50pm, the reason it was being delayed was the parts that are coming from oversea and they didn’t acknowledge when roughly or exactly.nnSo far, today on 4th September, we haven’t heard any updates in terms of what the problems are, how long it might take and etc.nnWhile writing this down, we just got an email all of sudden that our car is ready for collection without any acknowledgement of issues with the car and any information regarding the refund and swap.nnWe have a right to know what issues triggered the breakdown, what parts are replaced and repaired that will influence significantly on our decision of either pick up the car or return/swap.nnIt is a huge disappointment not only the vehicle but also how they deal with their customers, products and issues.nnWe have been suffering mentally from the breakdown on the motorway as a trauma, difficulty commuting to work.nnWe would like to prevent any similar issues for NZ community and hope they understand how to have a good reputation from customers.nnWe will also try to keep this situation updated here to acknowledge how this matter are going to be sorted.

Cars are unreliable, bought my first hybrid from here. Many issues with the car that I can’t afford to fix. I contacted 2 Cheap Cars about the issues and they told me it was outside the warranty. For months I’ve been driving around wondering when I’ll break down creating so much stress. Would never recommend

Went there first a few weeks ago and wanted to test drive and manager said fuel tank was empty and didn’t even offer to go fill it up, said we needed to pre-book. Went there yesterday just to show my wife the car, didn’t need to test drive it, we drove through the gate and the manager/owner started yelling at us to park outside. We explained we had our baby sleeping in the car and just wanted to check out the car for 2 minutes, he said he didn’t care and said we would be blocking other cars. We said we could park somewhere to avoid cars being blocked and he wouldn’t stop yelling “I don’t care, go park outside!!!”.nNeedless to say we drove off 30 seconds later. What a horrible person, not human at all. Terrible service, don’t go there!!!

Bought my car from here, quick purchase process... would recommend.

Would give zero if I could. Got a car from them and it's just continuously needing fixing especially the auto transmission system. First service after buying a car was $850 fmd.
