Got travel insurance from them a few times many years ago. Safe to say one thing with this company. Read the fine print! I made a claim tried to as to what was stolen/lost. was told to provide a receipt even though the item in question was a gift. I explained this a few times then took my loss and this experience as a learning lesson. I personally wouldn't bother with this company. If you have questions about any insurance. Make a list and write an email to them so you have some form of evidence. Reading the current reviews. I'm amazed it receives anything above 2 stars.
Beware of taking out insurance with this company. Making a claim is time-consuming. It requires good IT skills. The information required for a claim, e.g., a revised itinerary during an emergency, may not be available. Nor is the relevance of some of the questions clear. Expect questions posed to the claims team to go unanswered. I have given up on making our small claim. It wasn’t worth the effort. The price for affordable “insurance” becomes not being insured. I seldom post reviews but in this case I want to help others avoid our mistake of insuring with 1Cover.
Have been checking reviews on both the 1 Cover and TINZ Travel Insurance site, and see the person who replies to a lot of these reviews FOR BOTH COMPANIES is someone named 'Eva - Social Media Team'. Can you please explain this 1 Cover? Is 1 Cover & TINZ one and the same company?
Used 1 Cover for many many years... buying policies easy. Making a claim for lost luggage for the first time ever on travel insurance - complete nightmare Make sure you read the fine print to a tee they'll make sure in anyway to find where they won't have to make a cover pay out during a stressful time when travelling... ill never use 1 cover again.
NEVER EVER USE THIS INSURANCE COMPANY! they are fraud and scam , I lost my personal belongings while on holiday and provided them with all of the paperwork and they still came up With a ridiculous reason to not pay me! They are FRAUDS. I wish I could give them zero stars!
I wish I could give them zero star or even stars in minus. This is the worst insurance company I have seen. They only know how to take money from people but not to fulfill what they take money for. I advice everyone who is thinking of getting one cover insurance just dont take it. No point being a little cheaper than other companies when they don’t really pay back the money for the insured items. This company is fraud. They are not an insurance company but a scam company. Don’t waste any money on them cuz there is no point of getting insurance from them cuz it’s basically like paying and not getting anything insured at all. Worst experience, below worst I would say.
Asked a simple question. Got back a very confusing answer.. Reply: no problem anymore Eva. Thanks for your reply, but I have to spend the next two days flying home with covid now.
These people don't answer their calls or reply to our emails??? We were told to email them so we did. They told us they would call us back. They did - for a FEW seconds and then ended the call just before we could answer it. We called them right away after that but no answer again. We've emailed 3 times in the past TWO weeks and still nothing? Pls respond??
I loved how quickly my claim was approved - within 2 days of lodging it, then we had to wait for over 10 working days for it to be paid out. This was not very helpful as we had explained to your consultant that we needed to rebook and pay for a replacement holiday during the same vacation period. I was grateful that after I contacted 1 Cover they paid out that afternoon but not pleased at all about having to chase it up
