Zinc Port Douglas

A really great restaurant with a fabulous and engaging team. The venue looks brilliant and serves some pretty upmarket dishes. It a little expensive but very good value for this level of food and service. The wine selection is excellent but the by-the-glass options less so. The biggest draw back is that like most other restaurants Zinc has not found a way to separate screaming/crying babies so they don’t ruin $300 dining experiences. PS the tiger prawns starter will change your life!

Awesome restaurant! Great vegan options and huge servings. We had the cob loaf doesn’t say VG on menu but we checked with the kitchen and it is vegan : and tofu for starters then the cauliflower and risotto for mains. All dishes were so nice and staff are very friendly and helpful!

Ate here for lunch while they had a jazz band playing. This was a highlight. The food was ok. Not the best I have eaten. The cocktail was nice. The staff could have been more pleasant and we had to wave to attract their attention. Our entree and mains were served together. Limited menu due to the Jazz band playing, wasnt aware of this when I booked.

I was very lucky get the table close to kitchen, so I can see the look of the dish and it’s entertaining tho. When this pretty dessert passed me, I can’t resist it. SWEET CHEEKS: Cheesecake semifreddo, malibu meringue, passion fruit + mango coulis, nut praline + white chocolate. Beautifully presented and taste even better. For main I have Market Catch that’s incredibly fantastic and my husband had steak which he said that the steak is the most beautiful steak he’s ever had. Since then he never ordered anything but steak. But I always tried something new, like their scrumptious pasta. We had only 3 dinners here out of 7 nights in Port Douglas. All I can say that every night was satisfying.

Dined here with my partner. Service was amazing, food 10/10. We both got the squid ink pasta with mussels and oh my god - best pasta we’ve ever had. Cocktails were awesome too. It’s a tad on the expensive side but would definitely go back in a heart beat.

Zinc is a good restaurant. Not great. The highlights were the location and the amazing cheesecake semifredo dessert. Negatives would be how salty the seafood pasta was. The service is good and fast but a bit clinical. I’d give 3.5 stars if I could.

a beautiful place, with excellent attention by all the staff, always attentive to our needs, exquisite food although too salty. very long and abundant dishes. the price-quality ratio is good. The waitress recommended a wine that was very tasty with the food. a unique experience in a very nice environment, without a doubt if you are in port douglas you have to go to eat in this amazing place

We ate twice at Zinc during our honeymoon and both times it exceeded our expectations. From the entrees and mains to the desserts, everything was incredible. The staff were friendly, the service was prompt and the food spoke for itself. Hands down one of the best restaurants we have been to!

Incredible food and atmosphere! They managed to fit us in without a booking with only a short wait. Daniela looked after us so well, this meal was a highlight of our holiday!

We came to Zinc for a winemakers dinner with matched courses and everything was great. Each course was well thought out, and was carefully paired with wine. We can’t wait to come back again and order from the normal menu.
