If you're looking for a cafe that ticks all the boxes then look no further. Friendly service, ocean views, reasonable prices, generous portion sizes, attentive wait staff and most of all, scrumptious food. I tried the steak sandwich and was not disappointed. A hunger-taming portion of deliciously tender rump complimented by the perfect balance of salads, cheese, and condiments between two thick slices of robust, pan-fried bread and served with some of the best beer battered chips I've ever had. My wife tried the eggs benedict which was beautifully presented and featured a deliciously yellow, creamy, obviously house-made hollondaise. Thanks for a memorable brunch
The plating was nice. Looked better than the taste. We had two different types of open sandwiches and they were just standard. The chiaseed bread wasn't so great. If made with better bread, it may change everything. Salmon should be fresh for the taste but they use the preserved ones. The porched egg was cooked perfectly. Couldn't taste much the smashed avocado. Maybe it's better to be sliced? We also had coffee. The long black was better than the flat white. Maybe ... milk wasn't so fresh? It was quite smooth but didn't have that strong taste of good milk. The view to the ocean was kind of distant. I don't know if I would go back during my week long stay. It wasn't bad.. but could be done better!
Went here twice. First time, ordered the burger, not great. The flavours were a really strange mixture and I wasn’t a fan. Second time we ordered the French toast special and eggs on toast. Eggs was okay but there wasn’t much egg, seemed like only 1 was scrambled. The French toast which didn’t even come with ice cream! was given to us without any maple syrup as they had ran out. Would have preferred them to come and tell us so we could have changed our mind!!
Really nice food and coffee in a gorgeous spot right next to the beach. Definitely recommend for a relaxed brekkie after a morning stroll!
Four mile beach cafe so convenience just walk from the beach and grab some drinks and meals. Great service and views...
Great location with views of the surf. Breakfast was beautiful and filling. Friendly staff and good prices, definitely a Port Douglas gem.
Happy that we had this breakfast place so close to our hotel @lighthouse.portdouglas. Lots of different things to choose from, fresh food, great coffee and easy going vibe.
Great location. Staff are friendly. Good coffee and food weather you want to eat there or take down the beach. Years ago there use to be a buggy that went along the beach serving foo ad drinks from this place . What happened to it?
Enjoyable view with tasty food. Can’t go wrong with that combo. The calamari, pawpaw papaya salad was extremely tasty and refreshing. On this particular day the wind was fierce but it made for a cool setting as you could smell the ocean breeze. We also ordered an Avocado and Salmon sandwich. It was served on a perfectly toasted bun which made for great texture complements to the softer textures of salmon and Avo. Would recommend!
You know, this is — excuse me — a damn fine Hippy Bowl! … Now, I ate the bowl with bacon. I know, don't tell me, but they were out of chickpeas. The dressing, amazing. The roasted capsicum - great! And, the Shakerato, just the way I like it: cool, sweet and strong.
