This happened in 2003 but I felt I had to share this here… After having an Optus Prepaid phone for many years, I needed to travel to the UK and needed global roaming so I decided to go to the Optus Dandenong store to see what my options were. They told me that I needed to sign up to a 24 month plan to get global roaming and because I was a student (at the time) I needed my mum to get the plan in her name instead. So, we did. They told me in the store that I can phone and activate the global roaming just before I was ready to travel. When it came time to get the global roaming I was told I couldn’t get this and I needed to wait a further 3 months to get this feature! So, I decided to go to the store again with my mum to discuss the matter with them as they had sold me the plan with this premise. At the store, they took out the contract. Only to find that the contract document didn’t have my mum’s signature on it! It was a forgery! The salesman had obviously forgotten to give us the contract to sign on the day, so he had forged the signature by looking at the other signed documents! When we mentioned this to them they denied it. They also refused to explain why they had sold me a service under false pretences as I was clearly ineligible for the global roaming according to Optus’s own rules! They just gave me a phone number and told me to make my complaints over the phone. So, I went back home and phoned the number – which was for one of the managers at the head office. There was no answer just a phone message. Over several weeks I tried this number and left messages with no response. I ended up having to travel to the UK without the phone but still had to pay for the full 24 month plan! Disgusting behaviour! Never go with Optus!!!

I never seen a rude people or staff in my whole life I will never visit optus dandenong in my life
