I just came from picking up what was according to my email sent from Australia Post (which is the email Subject Heading - Australia Post Parcel Collect) lol so you know how we are not Australia Post office workers so we as customers will follow the instruction as per the email - show this email at your pick-up location. So here I am at Lonsdale street post office, I show my email to the Phillipino lady behind the counter (yes she was and yes I can tell), I think she was in her 40s or early 50s and she immediately asks me for ID, I say, I have a MyPost Card (which is what they told me to register for previously to save me from the need for ID), she looks at the email and types in the Parcel Code, she goes to the back to obviously look for the package then comes back to say she can’t find it, we have a discussion about what address is registered and as far as I the customer knows, I have a billing address for my payment method and I ship the goods to the Post Office as they told me previously that I could collect from there.. she goes on for a minute about what address I have registered and I repeat myself .. she looks again at the email and shouts out ‘oh it’s a Parcel Collect’ and then goes on to say I have to tell them that when I Collect my Parcel .. lady I don’t work for Australia Post, why could you not see on the email that you should have read and you were looking at for some time - It says it in the subject heading.. no.. she was adamant that I as the consumer have to tell them that when I come in even though it clearly states it in the email.. I kept saying.. so you yourself can not tell it is a Parcel Collect from this email from Australia Post? We pay for a service, we as consumers do not need to know how you do or should be doing your job or even how the Parcel delivery system tracking and registration of parcels work - that’s not my job that is yours to distinguish what is what. Do your job. Easy as that. I know she felt dumb not realising and probably doesn’t even realise what she should be looking for, maybe she doesn’t want to - people don’t like to retain information. We are not children to be spoken to they way she spoke to me either - probably a verbal delivery issue there when speaking to customers also. That’s ok in general life but you get paid to do your job. Not me. I usually do not have this problem with the other workers who I have seen there for some time now. Please Australia Post Dandenong Lonsdale street, get this person trained in digital services, email notifications, collections and Customer Service in general for consumers sake.

A lady in her mid-20's with brown hair was very rude, she spoke to me in a arrogant and cold tone with little to no help with sending a package. However the other work who was in her 40's with blonde hair was quite pleasant and helpful

Worst Post Officer I have been to. The Staff are rude, unhelpful and they Look down at you like they are better then you,. the Prices for Products is OMG it will cost you a arm and a leg or your first born. I am never going back to that post officer unless i have to pick mail and that it
