This was a great school!! I attended in 1997 as a student with additional needs which included mild learning difficulties in areas such as maths as well as significant behavioural and social school issues. Despite the fact that I was technically undereducated due to the issues at my previous high school that were serious and ongoing at that time the teachers and other staff did their very best to help me and make me feel welcome. I also owe Mrs Herbert (one of the school receptionists) and Mr Dempsey (one of the school guidance officers) a big thanks for helping and encouraging me to apply for my first job at the McDonalds store in Rocklea where I worked for 12 months...I have never ever forgotten this! I was pretty messed up from the issues from my previous school and I have ongoing psychological issues even now but I haven't forgotten the attempts the teachers of Yeronga made to help and support me even though I didn't really appreciate it or take it seriously back then. You were a great school back then and I'm sure you're still a great school now! Thanks for trying with me!!

Yeronga State High School is an exceptional experience for all involved whether staff or students or parents or community. The School is led by Terry Heath and his commited team! Everybody leads everyday in every way every moment to produce the best learning outcomes for all at this remarkable "Global Village"

Not a bad public school. I attended Yeronga SHS in 1998 as a fresh immigrant in Australia and both students and staff made me feel welcome.
