i went here for an music audition. My mum says that this school is only money hungry but i think different. Even though they stole our 400 bucks the staff was very nice and the people there was not bad. The only reason i left 4 stars was i failed the exam but i realised they didn't even pick any trumpets. Oh well, i guess i gotta go to canterbury i guess. That was my dream high school anyways. I recommend you going to this school its very good trust me. :
Brisbane State High School has a strong reputation, but it's really just 'mid.' The overcrowding means students often don't get the individual attention they need, and the competitive environment creates a lot of stress. Some teachers are great, but the quality is inconsistent. Overall, it’s not as amazing as everyone says.nPfp is me
10/10 school.nMessage to people up/down there giving 1 star:nBruh, if you hate this school so much, then leave, you’re keeping so many people who would actually be grateful from entering this school. What kind of psychopath are you? If you hate this school so much, why are you bothering to leave a review? Those comments about the lockers, bro, it’s a public school, what were you expecting, there are over 3000 students, how much space and money do you reckon will be needed to fit so many lockers? I mean, of course, you are always welcome to donate the money sufficient enough to construct these lockers. To those haters out there, please kindly keep your trap shut.nnEdit: Don’t read most of the reviews down there, they do not have the correct spelling, grammar or punctuations, therefore, their argument can no longer be valid.nnEdit 2: The people down there talking about mental health, buddy, it’s not the school’s problem your child has mental health issues, is it? It’s like saying you shouldn’t drive because there’s no traffic light in your living room. Traffic lights are out on the roads where you need them. Last time I checked, mental hospital is not a synonym of school also, btw, there are guidance officers the students can contact if they have any issues ranging from learning to mental aspects.
Gang the review about suicide is illogical. Brisbane state high has like 2 billion people and people seem to spawn in on the bridge. It’s simply maths. Say 1 in 100 people have mental health issues and become depressed. The more people in the sample size, the more depressed people there are. Therefore from the great public school curriculum maths I have learnt, it is deduced that since state high has too many people, it has a lot of depressed people. Or depressed people go to state high idk you choose.

Multiple students killed themselves yet the school does nothing to properly address it and show their respect instead they brush past it to protect their precious rep . Instead lets talk about bigger issues... like that second earring your wearing missy!!! suspended at once. I mean come on just give us a break.
