Story

Somerville House is an independent, Prep to Year 12 Girls’ Day School, Years 6–12 Boarding, and Co-educational Pre-Prep program.

Located in South Brisbane, an inner-city suburb of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Somerville House is a school of the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association. The PMSA is a mission of the Presbyterian and Uniting Churches.

Established in 1899 as The Brisbane High School for Girls, the School was eventually named after the British scientific writer, Mary Somerville (1780–1872).

Had to share a bus with these students. Unfortunately they are the most rudest children I have ever encountered. Please teach your students kindness and respect especially on buses. Clearly your school demonstrates these values very well.
The school is so haunted and i’m not even joking. Don’t get me wrong it’s a really good school but the toilet doors in the girls bathroom shut on me when it was opened and it was closed. There are suspicious sounds coming from the hallway and i’m not even tripping. However, excellent school to go for for academics. extra points for pink gilmore #gilmoregirls we saw a pair of undies and a bra there so that was really disturbing but yeah!!
My family of cockroaches want to move here!! Mainly because there are plenty of other cockroaches in this school!! Slay xx. Plus they favour neurotypical kids. Some teachers need help.
great school and even better ghost summoning house. co curricular is great. uniform is startling at first, but will grow on you.
I am in grade six this year at Somerville. Very good school and just the green summer uniform looks a bit weird.

I went here from Prep-2nd grade before moving. This school gave me a lot of great memories, honestly. Most of the teachers were nice, except for my 1st grade teacher, who would yell and if you messed up, she would rip your paper in front of you and throw it in the trash. She did it to me once. Another thing is the uniform, and I know I'm not the only one bringing this up. But overall, I had great memories from this school. I can't speak on behalf of the older grades, however. I really do miss this school a lot, I very much enjoyed my time there and the campus is beautiful. Again, I only went for prep-2nd, so I really can't say much about the academics of this school, but from what I remember, it was pretty good. I absolutely loved my 2nd grade teacher. He was so funny and amazing. Anyways, sorry for the long review.
Its good, tuckshop inflation is real though. lower those cheesy breadstick prices please
such horrible and corrupted school. Only send your kids here if you’re very rich and will donate thousands of dollars to the school. Rich kids at this school get a lot of privileges and they are always prioritised. The school also can’t find good teachers, and made so many amazing teachers leave by treating them badly. Don’t pay the money for such a bad school. This is not a school, they value money more than education.
Somerville House is an excellent school with responsible staff members and well-behaved students. The school campus has amazing facilities in place. The school uniforms are quite smart and tidy. The students always wear their uniforms properly with pride. The school is excellent in all ways, including academic, music, arts, and sports achievements. This school is highly recommended overall!
