I would like to commend Loran from Yarra Valley Water for the exceptional service she provided. Loran was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process.nnShe took the time to listen, explained everything clearly, and made what could have been a frustrating situation much easier to deal with. The quick responsiveness of the YVW team was a refreshing contrast to the other *ahem* **electricity** provider we need to deal with as we've been sorting out utilities for our new build.nnI called YVW to arrange a service and was sorted within 48 hours. I've been waiting 3 months for the ***other guys*** to sort their stuff out. So I just wanted to say a big thank you to.the YVW team for having your stuff together and giving us one less thing to worry about. You've been great to deal with.
Over the years, they have made some improvements to their customer web portal & service requests are acted fairly quickly.nnNegatives: Long wait time on the phone with no call back, this is also costly to customers without unlimited calling plans. This plus aggressive water rate hikes every July 1 since 2022 is appalling: 1% hike in 2022, , 2.06% in 2023, 2.81% in 2024 & 3.2%in 2025 !!! Who knows what the hike will be like in 2026.nnThey are joining big profitability race with all other phone, cable, internet, electricity & gas providers to squeeze customers more and more.nnDon't be evil, be kinder to customers facing relentless unaffordable cost of living since 2022 - very few qualify for government concessions.
Called regarding a sewage blockage, Ryan was there within and hour. He was polite informative a total professional.
Following emergency pipe-burst works carried out in the area, the water pressure in our unit has been reduced to less than half of normal levels and, on multiple occasions, has been completely unavailable. This has materially impacted the habitability of the property.nnWe reported this issue more than 10 days ago. Since then, your team has stated that an inspection was attempted but access to the water meter was not possible due to a locked door, that a notice was left in our mailbox, and that we were contacted. These statements are incorrect. No access attempt was made, no notice was left, and no contact was received.nnThe continued failure to properly investigate and rectify this matter, combined with the provision of inaccurate information, demonstrates a serious lack of due care, professionalism, and accountability. Given that water supply is an essential service, this delay is unacceptable.
