This council has no compassion for families. We received parking fine of 204 dollars. After putting our case to them that we had to stop to be out of the way of traffic. And waiting for the driveway to clear that we where going to turn. We plead our case that we have 7 kids and this will make a dent in our family budget, but they didn't care and made us pay any way. They are money hungry institution .
Just a heads-up for other drivers and delivery workers.nI received a $204 fine from Monash Council for stopping less than 5 minutes in a “No Stopping” zone while picking up food.nnWhat’s frustrating is that the council officers now take photos directly from their cars — they don’t even get out. Sometimes their own cars are stopped in traffic lanes to take those photos, which is ironic because that’s exactly what they fine others for.nnThere’s no warning, no contact, just a fine mailed days later.nThis feels less like “road safety” and more like “easy revenue”.nnBe careful — even a short stop can cost you over $200. Always double-check the signs before stopping anywhere in Monash.
Got a fine from the City of Monash for overstaying in a parking spot. Their portal doesn’t show when I arrived or left, and when I appealed, they just said ground sensors detected it but refused to show any proof. The only way to see the data is by going to court. Feels like an unfair system set up so people just pay without questioning it. another way councils take money from residents.
Absolutely disgraceful. Instead of working with Essex Heights Primary School to remind parents about safety around the non-stop sign, the council has chosen to mass-issue parking fines during drop-off and pick-up. Families are being hit with fines of over $200 each, with some receiving multiple tickets in just a short period. Is your role to punish hardworking parents, or to serve the community you’re supposed to represent? This is nothing more than a money-grab. Shame on you, council—your job is to support families, not exploit them.
Foral road, Clayton, a single parking spot for neighbours no longer exists due to Council moving no-stopping sign further back to prevent traffic junction congestion of 15mins only per day. Now home owners can't get parking for the entire day 23hrs and 45mins.
