For people who expect lots of greetings and small talk from customer service staff, a family-style restaurant or resort might be the place for that kind of personalised service.nnIn places like post offices, clinics, or chemists — where there are often long queues — good customer service doesn’t necessarily need to include unnecessary conversation in my opinion . When you step out during your lunch break to handle something quickly, what most people want is efficient and accurate service.nnIf a post office serves 150 customers a day and each interaction includes an extra 3–5 minutes of small talk, imagine how much waiting time that adds for everyone else in line.nnThat said, I genuinely like the staff here. Jerry is often very efficient — moving quickly from one customer to the next and getting things processed smoothly. He may not engage in much small talk which could simply reflect his overseas cultural background — I don’t see that as rude, but his efficiency is impressive.nnJo, on the other hand, probably fits many people’s idea of excellent customer service — very patient, friendly, and attentive. Honestly, who wouldn’t like Jo?nnThey simply have different styles. I’ve sometimes seen Jerry finish helping two or three customers while Jo is still assisting one. It’s not a competition — they actually complement each other well.
On Friday, 23 January, we received exceptional service from a female staff member at this post office when returning a Dyson floor cleaner for maintenance. The box was too large, yet she kindly helped us repack the item, later called to inform us the box was still oversized, and spoke very politely on the phone. When my husband returned, she again assisted him with opening the box. At one point, another staff member suggested she was doing too much beyond her duties, but she confidently responded that this is part of customer service. We were truly touched by her professionalism and care. Although we did not get her name, we sincerely thank her for the outstanding service.nFrank and Molly
I've been frequenting this LPO for more than 2 years. The store manager, Jerry, seriously lacks basic customer service skill, while the lady, Jo, I believe, is more reasonable.nI lived in North Melbourne and Mitcham before moving into this area and had visited the LPOs. I also frequently travel between Dandenong and Cranbourne for work and have been to the LPOs. Things that I could get done easily at all these LPOs, I couldn't get done properly at LPO Studfield. I find myself having to explain things extra clearly to Jerry who often doesn't care to listen.nThe few reviews below that claim they are genuine, I highly doubt that's the case.
I got my passport renewed over here, and it was done with such professionalism and care! The gentleman was on it like a stud, and everything was done very quickly! Nice staff, and exceptional service! Thank you
Be careful!! These guys play doggy overcharge on parcel postage. I have been using MyBusiness Post for 6 years, every year I shipped out over 500 parcels including to overseas in all different sizes. I usually use one of my local post office to drop off these prepaid parcels and barely have been told miss measured the size of parcel. The only time I’ve dropped 5 parcels at Studfield post office, it made me to pay an extra 11 dollar for 2 of the parcels. Well I believe the manager or the owner uses this way to make some extra dollars whenever possible and I am okay to let you take these money this time, but I prefer to give my business to other people in future, and in return you’ve earned my one star review.
