I normally don’t write reviews, but after the treatment I received at this Australia Post office, I feel it’s important to share my experience so others know what to expect.nnLast Friday, I went to this branch to complete a bank ID verification. After waiting in line, the only staff member present, a middle-aged woman, told me that this service was only available by appointment. I asked to book one, and she calmly explained that on Mondays, from 8:30am, there would be a staff member dedicated to handling these verifications. Perfect, I thought! Let’s book an appointment then.nnAt that point, she mentioned that at the Rowville Post Office — which has more counters — the service could be done without an appointment. I replied that since I live nearby, it would actually be more convenient for me to come to her branch. She pretended to shuffle some papers, then suddenly looked at me and, in a cold and harsh tone, said: “Go to Rowville.”nI was taken aback. I repeated that I lived just around the corner and this office was more convenient. Once again, she insisted: “Go to Rowville.” Confused, I reminded her that she had just told me there would be someone on Monday handling exactly this service, so why couldn’t I book an appointment? She then in an extremely rude and disrespectful manner, repeated: “I told you to go to Rowville!”nnAt that point, with other people waiting behind me and feeling deeply uncomfortable, I simply said “ok” and walked out of the office.nnI left shocked by how unnecessarily rude and dismissive she was. A basic level of courtesy and professionalism is the least one should expect, especially from a public service provider. Unfortunately, this experience made me feel unwelcome and disrespected, and I will not be returning to this branch.
If I could give it ZERO stars I would!nThe service I received from the male worker was appalling!nHe refused to process my passport applications, I explained to him I'd been calling the post office 6 times throughout the day to confirm I was coming however they also DONT answer their phone!nOnline it states you don't need an appointment for a passport application, however when you arrive they tell you to book an appointment!nHow can I book if you DON'T answer your phone!nnHe told me they didn't have time, there were 3 workers. ....... no other customers in the shop! How do you not have time? Why don't you change it on the website to say you need to boom an appointment? Why don't you answer your phone?nnHe told me to go to Stud Park as they have 5 computers!nnWORST SERVICE NEVER EVER WILL I RETURN TO THIS POST OFFICE!
I stopped visiting here due to extreme rudeness of previous owners. Since it has new staff now, I went again recently to give another try. Nothing but disapointment again. The guy at the counter was rude and wasn't even looking at me when talking. Had a conversation about the plastic wrap of an amazon return item. When I said it was the wrapping it came with, instead of advising me with other available packaging options for the return, he rudely told me that they don't care. Obviously they don't care about customer service.nI am going to local shops to support local businesses but seems like these people don't need local support.
Today, I went to the post office to apply for a Tax File Number for my child, but was informed that an appointment is now required. In the past, when I went to have passport documents certified for my child, the process was much more straightforward and did not require a prior appointment.nnI am confused and disappointed by this sudden change, which adds unnecessary complexity to what should be a simple procedure. I hope the service process can be streamlined and improved.
Avoid avoid. Don't answer phones.. I then have to go in and they won't take appointments to complete passport applications. She then says we can during 930-10. I offered to wait until this time even but then they said no to that too. Clearly not much profit in it and they don't want to support a service aus post offers. Very disappointing and aus post need to manage their franchises better.
