This store has a very large shopping space on Canterbury Road with ample undercover and open parking spaces. Discounted items are often sold out in other stores but not this one. The staff works endlessly to replenish sale items on the shelves. A few weeks ago, the website indicates the fish oil were available but the shelf was empty. The staff in the self-checkout area called another assistant who went inside the store and brought out the number of fish oil supplements that I wanted. They always greet people with a big smile. They patiently listen to customers' requests. I can see a lot of returning customers as the staff seems to know their names! The mini pizza rolls were perfectly baked, soft tomato paste centre with melted tasty cheese on top. The beautiful Portuguese tarts make me mouthwatering . The varieties of fruit are amazing.There are 6 different brands of apples! I only bought Envy and ambrose apples. I also did online shopping and the items picked are never close to expired dates. This is a common problem when I did online in other stores. The waiting time is very short. I find the staff are wonderful and friendly. I have the great pleasure of shopping in this store and will come back again. Greatly appreciated the service .
I had to wait quite a while in line, and the staff member at the checkout spent around 10 minutes chatting with the customer in front of me. I understand being friendly is important, but during busy times the priority should be serving customers efficiently. It felt inconsiderate to those waiting in line. I usually spend between $150 - $250 per week at Woolworths between either Box Hill or Blackburn South stores.nnTonight we were appalled at the service and rudeness of one staff member at the self service checkout.nnWe had queried the price of two items we had self-scanned. It turned out the prices were not as per the prices on the shelf we collected from. Apparently the grapes were put in the wrong area, which resulted in me believing they were cheaper at $5 per kilo. They refused to offer them to me at this price, because apparently that was ‘red’ grapes not green grapes. They were in the same bay. They couldn’t locate the green grapes.nnWe also picked up some Serena Thai Tuna from the discontinued/ discounted section on the end of the aisle. The original price had been crossed out with a pen, but no discounted price was labeled. Every other item on the end of the very full aisle was discounted. Why were there two rows of this product in this section with the full price amount crossed out with a pen? They didn’t offer any price adjustment or discount.nnThe staff gave a lot of attitude and didn’t acknowledge or take any accountability for the confusion.nnWe had already scanned $190 worth of groceries, and It felt really disrespectful to receive this service. I felt like leaving the groceries at the checkout and telling them I’d changed my mind on everything, but I didn’t do that. We paid and left, stunned and upset.nnLong story short, we won’t be back for a while.
Clean place. But I bought expired hummus. Oops. They shouldn’t have had that on the shelves. Everything else was fine. The people were nice and the place was clean. The exit from the car park was annoying. This one guy was running thru the store to help a nearby customer. I thought that was nice of him.
This would have to be my favourite supermarket. As a busy mum, I do spend a lot of time shopping at the supermarket and I’m always greeted with a smile with great produce with fresh fruit and veg and easy parking. You couldn’t ask for more from a supermarket. Keep up the excellent work
