I would like to tell everyone a very unpleasant situation that happened to me today, February 24, at around 11 a.m.nI came to shop at Woolworths in Oakleigh Shopping Centre. I saw Tena Maxi Night pads on sale for $5.60 and took the last four packs available. When I went to the checkout, the cashier scanned them at $7 per pack. I told her that this was incorrect, as the price displayed was $5.60. To prove this, I went back to the aisle and brought her the yellow price tag showing $5.60, which was attached under the product.nThe cashier called the manager, who said that it was the wrong price tag and that I had no right to bring it to the checkout. She even suggested that I might have brought a fake tag from home in order to purchase the product at a discounted price. The manager spoke to me very rudely. Unfortunately, I became very nervous and forgot to ask her name.nI explained that I brought the price tag to show the cashier because she did not believe me that such a tag was displayed there. If the staff failed to remove the price tag after the sale ended, that is not my fault. I see the displayed price and expect to purchase the product at that price, not at a different one.nI have experienced similar situations a few times before, and in all stores — including Woolworths — I have always been allowed to purchase items at the price that was displayed at the time. I also told the manager that they could check the security cameras to see how I removed the price tag and brought it to the cashier. Unfortunately, instead of resolving the issue, I was met only with shouting and insults.nThe manager said they could sell me only one pack at the price of $5.60. She then took the other packs from the counter without even asking whether I wanted to buy them at the full price of $7. I was shocked by such rude treatment and informed her that I would file a complaint with the Woolworths head office.nI have been Woolworths customer for many years and this is the first time I have experienced such rudeness and humiliation.nI'm still feeling very stressed about this situation.
asian lady staff at slef check out has an attitude problem. twice the self scanning machine got stuck. coming over withnfrowning face and speaking with tone. she even 'threw' the brik packs into my shopping cart.ndont undrstand why people behave with these attitudes and unkindness for no reasons.
Come here all the time, but had a lovely staff member help me today, I was looking at the lettuce packets on the top shelf but couldn’t find a fresh one, I was about to give up and just get a spinach instead, but without even needing to ask one of the employees offered to search the back of the stock and he found a fresh one for me. Didn’t catch his name but what a top bloke
I’ve shopped with Woolworths my whole life but have recently swapped to Coles because I was sick of waiting in line for the self checkout. Most days the lines get so long that they protrudes into the fruit and veg section and even the dairy aisle. I hope they have some sort of plan to convert the old registers into more self serving check outs if they don’t plan on manning the stations. The staff were always lovely
