Service was great. However the quality of shoes did not match the price tag. I spent 200 on a pair of shoes that I wore occasionally to have them fall apart. Another shoe I got was 300 and again I wore them occasionally and the heel has come away from the shoe . Also I bought some polish and they gave me the store one. I didn't realise until I got home and it was empty.
Awful service. Went in to buy shoes in the Block Arcade. Three staff, no customers but us two. Asked to try on shoes. The very uninterested staff member took the shoe without a word and Went to get the correct size. She returned and without a word to us, placed the shoes on the seat beside us and Went back to chatting with the other staff and took no further notice of us. They were just talking and werent in the slightest interested in us as customers. I wont spend my money in a store where the service is worse than worse and the staff attitude is poor. I put my own shoes back on and left the store. I dont think the staff even noticed. I went to Zomp and other shoe stores to buy my five pairs of shoes. It's a pity as on my last trip to Melbourne I bought three pairs of lovely shoes from Wittners and follow them on FB but due to the staff attitude in this store it'll be a long while before I return to shop in Wittner again.
Small store so not always a huge range, generally friendly.... easy for me to get to. Collins st Block arcade is huge, always full of stock and very helpful ladies. Block arcade is my fav wittner.
Beautiful arcade. I was visiting for a meeting in the offices upstairs. Mosaic floor quite a feature but could do with some maintainence. Sorry to see empty shops that is not a good look. It is an icon of melbourne and should work as such.
Always an amazing & insightful experience to choose the best shoes, especially fitting leather boots.
Housing Dr Seuss, Hopetoun Tea rooms and numerous cafes, this is Melbourne's best arcade.
