Such I wonderful park there... I am enjoying doing my walks during the day and have picnics at the weekend... the nature there is so alive and the small ponds so beautiful... clean place with little animals as well... look like a part of heaven...

What a great park to be lucky enough to live near! With a lovely lake filled with bird life and a nice walking path with plenty of grassed area to relax on this is the perfect spot for a weekend stroll or picnic with friends. Even better is that it is situated right next to the Auckland zoo and MOTAT museum which are fun places to visit as well. Add to that the close proximity to the speedway and other events like concerts and the taste of Auckland festival and you have yourself one heck of a spot. Just bring the test cricket here and you'll be unbeatable.

Nice place to walk around. Watch out for the goose dropping. Enjoy the surrounding, peaceful, quiet, and may even hear the lion roar.

Western springs park has something for everyone Exercise by walking around the lake,Appreciate nature that surrounds the lake and feed the ducks or let the kids loose at the playground the newly added Japanese garden is a must see as well. Keep an eye out for events happening at Western springs in the next couple of months Ben and Jerry's movies, Pacifika (Free event experience all the islands of the Pacific in 1 place) and Auckland city limits to name a few some of these events have entry fees thou.

It's beautiful park with small lake, ducks and walking pathways along with green grass area where you seat and relax or have a picnic on a good Sunday day. Very peaceful even though it is close to motor way, Motat and Auckland zoo.
