We had a fantastic experience parking at Civic Car Park in the city. The location couldn’t be better—it’s super central, making it really easy to access all the city’s key spots. We felt completely safe leaving our car there—well-lit, secure, and staffed throughout. The convenience of the layout made entering and exiting a breeze, and the rates were really reasonable for the location. If you need a reliable, central parking spot, Civic Car Park is the way to go..
Easy to access Aotea Centre for a business meeting, $6 an hour or $25 for the day parking. Ideal if you're in the CBD for business or pleasure. Ie: Security guards in carpark and above make for a safe area as well.
If you go to Event Cinemas, The parking area is very difficult to find. After the movie ended, the mall was already closed and access to the car park was also closed, but there were no clear signs or instructions explaining how to access the car park once the mall is closed.nnThere was still staff around, including staff turning off the escalators, and they could clearly see that several people were confused and trying to find the car park entrance. However, no one approached or offered any assistance. Staff only provided directions when someone specifically went up to them and asked, and even then, they did not proactively help the other people who were also clearly lost.nnClearer signage and more proactive assistance from staff would make the experience much less confusing, especially for customers leaving after the mall has closed.
I like the number plate ID. If you come after 6 you should be able pay when you go to yr event rather than after. You can have herds of people trying to pay for their parking at the same time as they have all come out of the event. If you could pay before the event then you are not lining up behind people who have no idea how to work a carpark ticket machine.
2 Stars for the convenient location, but unless you're driving the world's smallest car, you can not let your passengers out after parking because the civic parks are tiny. I always hold my breath and hope no damage happened to my car while here due to the closeness of other vehicles. The parking seems very mean and small, almost unusable. Also the parking sensor broke - again, meaning despite having paid prior to leaving, we all had to call for help to get the barrier to open. Frustrating.
