Amazing place to take the dogs and kids and feel safe. This js car free area so you have full access to all the paths and roads. Two areas for dogs to run around lots , one is enclosed and the other is sometimes used for archery. Lots of tracks to try and hidden little spaces to have some fun with the kids. Parking available and toilets
Beautiful spot to walk and play with your dogs off leash. Friendly locals, lovely mature trees and fantastic views So safe then. I drove over 2day and walked around twice. Felt very nostalgic. Sat outside on my car by my old home. Some good memories some sad. Mostly good A beautiful place in the heart of Mt Albert
Lovely views, very peaceful maunga, good for a cardio walk workout but not too intense, great for general mental and physical health
Truly my favourite maunga - spectacular views, a short, brisk walk to the summit, playing fields atop and space for dogs to run around too. Blissful 360 degree views and it’s also reasonable to grab a coffee in Mt Albert village and walk up to enjoy the view. Absolutely lovely!
Less popular less well known less crowded compare to other volcanic cones in Auckland. Not many new houses in Mt albert, there is also a resivior as Watercare uses gravity to pump water down the suburb.
Always a great spot to socialise Beauregard in a friendly, happy envirenment. Plenty of beauiful big trees and let’s hope it stays that way ;-
Fabulous walking track. Alongside walking enjoy sea, city view and sunrise or sunset. Also rarely seen birds like Easter roselle, and Pegionwoods. Also native bird Tui and lots more....
Best mountain in the city. Parking up the top. Dog friendly. Bathrooms too!
We love Mt Albert Domain very good for walking runnig and dog walking . its a meeting point for ours dogs :
