I have been to this place for 10 years. The coffee is amazing but the level of service has become less attentive. On the last 5 visits I have had to get out of my chair and walk up to the service area to place my order for a second cup of coffee. The sardines on toast is a great dish but this year I have had it served 3 different ways. Consistency and service are imperative for loyalty. Fortunately for this business they still have amazing coffee but with increased competition I think this business will suffer. Hopefully they listen to feedback.

Mediocre coffee served by some of the most disinterested hospitality staff I've come across. When a customer politely ask you to order a coffee they aren't asking you for an incredibly unreasonable favour...we are paying (a bit much too) for your lousy cup of genovese. Raised eyebrows and purses lips don't get you return clientele let alone ..tips. You've one of the best locations in balaclava and a history as one of the longest serving coffee shops on the road. A Fitout isn't a bottle of wine, it doesn't get better with age. It requires upkeep, upstate and above all CLEANING. Find staff who want to be there, and invest in your business.

Amazing breakfast, couldn't fault anything except the coffee which was a little bitter. Best smoked salmon and veggie sides very flavoursome.
