Cakes look great, but the food is outstanding. This is an authentic Polish restaurant and they wowed my mother, who being born in Poland, and picky with food at the best of times, is hard to please these days. She really enjoyed everything she ate. They have traditional tripe and sauerkraut dishes, their schnitzels are every bit as good as the old Scheherazade used to be on Acland Street (which is the highest accolade you can give a schnitzel). The food is just tasty and delicious without being overspiced or overwhelming. Service was also fabulous and definitely going there often. Went back again today. Food did not disappoint. Mum went with the tripe again and it was even better than last time. I have actually picked it up and brought it home for her a few times and she rates it 'outstanding' every time. This time I went with the duck, which was excellent. It came with red cabbage which is the best I've ever had, and the accompanying sliced, creamed potatoes may have been a heart attack waiting to happen, but what a way to go ! Heaven in your mouth and waiting for more ! Definitely coming back.

The service I recently experienced was disgusting. I ordered a simple soy chai latte and had to repeat myself FIVE times. Then I sat down to watch while nobody lifted a finger to start making my order. So I went up and asked what was going on only to not be able to speak because this woman would constantly speak over me and would not let me get a word in. So I said this to her and she gave me the biggest attitude, rolled her eyes, crossed her arms and then said whatever a flicked her hand as if to gesture me away. The manager or owner then came over and did nothing but give my money back. Shocking customer service and I am done going there on a daily basis. They don’t treat their regulars well, I wonder how they treat their non regulars. I do not recommend.

Reply to the owner -I bought it on 26/06/17 -It was red in colour worth approx. $32. Wasn't worth taking photo of. I can assure you the cheapest mud cake is better than that product. One more day and the cake would have moulds in it. -I deserve a refund. Please never visit this place! I bought birthday cake for my wife and it was the worst mistake of my life. The cake was hard like stone and the girl on the till mislead us by saying that the cake was fresh and soft and whatever she could to sell it. I had visited the place many times before, but now I won't ever. And I will tell everyone about the quality they are selling. Do not fool your customers or you won't last in market for long. Sorry for being true.

Reply to owner - The cake had layers, with chocolate looking cream - September 27 Please stay away from this place! I bought a cake for my wife's birthday. I asked for a suggestion and the cake I was offered was a chocolate cake that looked nice. Never once did the staff mentioned that this cake was actually completely drenched in alcohol! We both had to spit out the cake, me, because it was so horrible and my wife because it was so horrible and because she is PREGNANT!!! How very irresponsible to sell a cake without mentioning it's all alcohol. Considering making a formal complaint. The service in the shop was also far from pleasant! Please save your money and go anywhere else!

I’ve only had coffee, but it was very good and really cheap (I was there for happy hour). I’ve been here a few times now and have always been served by very friendly staff. The cakes look amazing too
