A professionally run owners corporation company. The previous strata management company were impossible to reach and used offshore call centres which made everything difficult from requesting keys and remotes to reporting common area maintenance. Victorian Body Corporate Services are great to deal with. We emailed asking for a spare remote control for the basement car park and it was ready the same day for collection. Wade from VBCS delivered outstanding service. We highly recommend any owner to reach out and seek their services if you want your building run properly and professionally.
Gary Kane is our property manager and I as a committee member could not be happier with the high level of service I have received from Gary over the past few years. He is great to deal with, always responds to any questions or correspondence the committee raises in a timely manner and is very clear in his communication. We are grateful for his professionalism.
I have recently had to work closely with Barbara Lo in regards to an insurance claim as she is the body corp manager and I am the property manager. I have honestly never had such a great experience with a body corp manager, nothing was ever too much for Barbara and she responded to every query thoroughly and quickly. Thank you so much for your service Barbara, it doesn’t go unnoticed.
Montana Burnett is our apartment building’s community manager. After experiencing numerous previous managers, we now refuse anyone else. Montana is dedicated, thorough, knowledgeable and all round fabulous. Honestly cannot thank her enough for everything she does for us and the way she supportively consults myself when required! Montana is always seeking the most beneficial and fair outcome for our building and I genuinely feel she is the “best in the business”! Thank you as always Montana!
I’m not one to ever leave reviews but our recent experience warrants one. Our VBCS manager let our building insurance lapse leaving us uninsured for over a month. On contacting the insurance company directly we were informed and provided with written confirmation that they had been chasing up non-payment with our manager but calls and emails were not acknowledged. I won’t name and shame but in all seriousness, she should be sacked. The response from VBCS when we eventually got a response? “Well there’s no money in your account” If this was the case it should have been addressed by our manager but wasn’t. No accountability or apology. Needless to say we’ve moved on from them. Avoid buying into or renting anything they manage. And VBCS don’t bother with your generic apology to a bad review……..you don’t mean it.
Do not go with this useless joke of a company. One star only because I can’t rate them zero. VBCS are utterly incompetent and actively hostile when dealing with the simplest of tasks. Our building had a broken hot water service for over three months last year and they insisted it was an individual issue, despite 2/3 floors reporting it. After we flagged this, they continued to lie to us about it, claiming no one else was having the same issues even when our neighbours confirmed they’d reported it. Our car stacker has been broken for weeks now leaving it open for anyone to access - a huge theft risk and the repair company has confirmed that they are in contact with VBCS and are waiting on their response. When we asked VBCS about it, they lied to us and said that the repair company said there was no issue at all. They are slow to respond if they bother to respond at all, but they have no issue taking their exorbitant fees. They’ll happily pay for the driveway to be power washed why?? but not to replace a faulty hot water service, repair an elevator or clean public areas properly. They are also constantly changing the people responsible for our building without notifying us or properly training their new starters on existing issues. High staff turnover suggests that there are work culture issues here too, so I’d recommend avoid working there; in addition to avoiding them as a body corp.
An absolute disgrace of an Organisation that does not care about the owners or tenants that live in the properties they supposedly ‘manage’. The staff are well training in deflecting questions and dismissing requests. If you think this review is a bit over the top then consider that the VBCS has been ‘managing’ this block of units while it has been partially destroyed for over a year, infested with rodents and pests and fire alarm systems constantly going off along with fire alarm wires still sticking out of damaged areas. When we contact VBCS we are met with disdain. If you are consisting using VBCS then please save your money and consider other solutions to owners corp management.
VBCS has been our OC Managers for over 15 years and during this time we have had various managers however, earlier this year we requested a new manager and Jake became our new OC Manager. Jake is an exceptional Manager, he is professional, diligent and has great communication skills working with our Committee and keeping us informed particularly during some demanding times with water and cladding issues. Thanks Jake it's great to have you on our team.
We've been really happy with the service from VCBS. When we purchased our we joined a small complex that had never had strata management in it's 20 years, and so was a bit of a mess physically and from an admin POV. The team at VCBS specifically Jared and Gab have been really proactive and engaged since the start and got things into shape really quickly. Response times are excellent and their list of vendors has been really useful to us. Definitely recommend VCBS.
HOPELESS VBCS deserves NO STARS . Avinash was our manger – who operated like a bad call centre -- a couple of simple tasks required by him just weren’t getting done, just a lot of useless emails while charging money . I asked to speak to his manger – instead of a call they cancelled our OC contact immediately and left us high and dry without a OC manager. I requested a call from a manger several times about this and absolutely no response . We are with BCS now who helped us very easily sort out a building order, saving the OC approx. $540,000. Avinash would not follow instructions to achieve this – SHAMEFUL of him and the mangers. The mangers at VBCS should be more active in helping with their bad unprofessional service rather than spending time making excuses for bad reviews .
