Went in the after noon. Did not have appointments. Thought it would be long q. But..... There were many people, all able to sit inside. Overall taken me 20min. The staffs were extremely friendly. Best customer service ever. I get my name details updated , get picture taken on the spot. Get a receipt, am still able to drive, while waiting for new license.
Typical VicRoads. Attitudes, incompetence, and thieves is all you'll find here. If they didn't have the monopoly they would have gone out of business decades ago. I keep my licence and as many vehicle registrations as possible interstate. Service Tasmania is much nicer to deal with. I can understand now why there's so many unregistered vehicles driving around in Victoria - that's better than having to deal with VicRoads.
Shocking service. Today I waited in line for 50 minutes which was annoying, but I was understanding. I needed to go to VicRoads to get a new photo on my licence as it is going to full licence and, whilst renewing is the only time you can get a new photo as it clearly says on the website. However, I did not expect to be told by the VicRoads employee that they couldn't take my photo today as my licence would still come up as P plater, instead of a full licence. Nowhere on the website does it state this as ever being a thing, so I waited in line on a hot day for no reason. The employee was very nice, and obviously, it was not her fault. Please, however, update your website VicRoads, so you don't waste more people's time.
I have just moved interstate from QLD 2 months ago. Since the first week of being in Vic, I have made 4 trips to transfer my license. Just to clarify, my driving history can be confusing but not that confusing and these extra visits were not the fault of Vic roads but QLD main roads. My first three visits I was served by two different people, both professional and wanted to help me. Today I have returned to have my license transferred, which was nothing short of a joke. After waiting for 45 minutes I was asked to counter 1 to consult with Anne. She questioned everything and no matter what answer I gave her she was dissatisfied. Anne was rude and seemed to misinterpret everything that I said. She said that I had lied about certain aspects of my license which was completely false, she failed to understand what license I should be on even though I’ve held an open license for years and seemingly had no idea what she was doing. Quite frankly, it felt like Anne just didn’t like me for no apparent reason, hence the hoops she made me jump through. It was only after assistance and coaxing from a coworker was the process smoothed out. I am not one to complain or even get frustrated for that matter but after spending an hour and half at Vic roads Anne has left me incredibly angry. I have given three stars as the previous representatives were very helpful and understanding. I don’t wish for this review to be a reflection of Vic roads but as constructive criticism for Anne.
Went here to get my drivers test done, the tester was rude and condescending. Before the test even started she told me off for having a car without a clear speedometer. It was an older and only car that my mum has. She just told me to get another car like it was easy to do. I barely even got out of the driveway of the licence car park and she said I wasn’t looking/checking mirrors when I was even instructors I’ve had in the past said I’m observing very well I was looking behind me rear mirror and she said you need to look behind when she literally saw me looking before I reversed. She also said I wasn’t indicating when I clearly was. This lady also seemed to purposely make me feel uncomfortable by staring at me whilst I’m driving. She looked like she was about to hurt me for no reason. Didn’t even give me a chance to drive for even 5 mins and failed me on purpose. Will never be coming here back again. Disgusting
Arrived at 8.30 when vicroads opened and got my ticket to pay for my club reg. Sat here for half an hour while everyone else was served in a timely manner. When I questioned how much longer it would take I was told they were waiting for a specific staff member who was able to sign for club reg, even though I had seen two other people pay for their club reg in that half an hour. When I was eventually served it was by one of the vicroads workers who had been there since I sat down at 8.30.
Was dreading the experience but for no good reason! A Transfer of Registration took all of 8 minutes from walking in the door to walking out again... Friendly, and efficient service: thank you Mel! Update November 2022; Rego renewal and transfer of Concession entitlement... Intermittent queues managed very efficiently. Thank you Kate for polite & cheerful service!
The wait outside before the wait inside is in the open. If rainng you get wet and the line can be very long. Allow an hour per visit. People are very helpful and nice once at head of queue or inside though. All that said it is much better than the new Ringwood office as you can't drive or park there. What rocket scientist decided a Vicroads Customer Service location should NOT allow cars. Staggering!!
No stars for the disgusting customer service but I can’t post unless I highlight 1 I myself and fiancé received today. Not only was the woman extremely rude and aggressive she put the wrong registration on my transfer receipt and expiry date was midnight today after I just paid a full years rego on my new car. Words can’t describe how this woman made me feel.
Yesterday 18.11.2022 we had the inspection for our trailer . We arrived half our before the appointment and we waited in the inspection area. No one came to check our vehicle and we decided to come inside Vicroad office and to ask why the inspector did not come outside. We spoke with on of the Vicroad's Staff close to the door and we showed to him the document of the inspection appointment. He said that we were 7 minutes later of the appointment, I said that we arrived half hour before and we waited in inspection vehicle area. I asked very polite to help us!!! He said severel time to me " IT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN TODAY" and he continue to repeat this words and did not listen my reasons, he gave me another appointment in 2 weeks!!! I asked his name ,he said that his name is "Andrew" and i asked who is the manager,he said that he was the MANAGER OF THE DAY , I said do you have a mager , he said i am the manager. Please make sure next time to have some Vicroad's Staff ready as per appointment outside close the inspection area.
