After a disheartening visit to the Epping branch, I opted to seek assistance from the Services Australia Greensborough branch, hoping for a better experience. Thankfully, I was not disappointed. From the moment I approached the first counter, the respect and professionalism I received were vastly different. Both the lady at the reception and Amanda if i remember correctly, who assisted me further, were exemplary in their service.nnAmanda, who wore glasses, was especially commendable. She approached my queries with a calm and polite demeanor, listening attentively and addressing each point thoroughly. While she informed me that the specific adjustment I was hoping for wasn't possible, she provided clear guidance on alternative avenues to follow, which was incredibly helpful.nnI remember receiving a similarly professional service back in 2015, and it’s reassuring to see that the Greensborough branch continues to maintain high standards. I genuinely appreciate the staff and management at this branch for their dedication to providing quality service and want to extend my thanks for their support and professionalism.
My experience with this Branch included 2 visits and a call to IT support. Initially 5 stars - when into centre with no appointment as unable to make with crn. Attempted proving identity online with errors. They were quick, knowledgeable, and able to answer my questions. I could not make my changes online, but the staff were welcoming, and I wasn't there for more than 20 minutes.nupdate 27/7: from 5 stars to 1 star! called IT support Sarah Louise, CRN and the linking code given by Greensborough staff was incorrect; told it would be in my new name, but it wasn't. No way to fix online or over phone as in wrong name. It's funny how the Greensborough staff assured me I wouldn't have to come back in to the center as it was all sorted! IT stated the record had no files or notes indicating an appointment or interaction with a team member, which was unusual; records should include at least my evidence provided on the day. I have to waste another day in the centre due to staff incompetence. I will update after the next appointment!nLast I hope update: 3 stars as issue resolved but not after first staff member told me my details were not incorrect. went back to centre, served within 5 mins, second staff member told me my name was entered incorrectly by the other staff last week. They can see no notes on my file but did state there was an internal note indicating my previous visit. Fixed problem immediately, updated linking code and requested me to check on my phone that the error was resolved. Very refreshing how supportive this staff member was in contrast to the other and after how frustrating this process has become. Offered assistance to make claims and answered my questions. I appreciated the time given to me considering how annoyed I became having to come in again and take time off work twice. Here's my advice, check your account on their self serve computers or your phone before leaving!
My concerns don't always get solved but they have always been pleasant and understanding.
An absolute joke.nnMy job seeker application has taken me 3 months to be approved should take 2 to 3 weeks, and I had to go back multiple times to remind them as they kept forgetting about it.nnI put through my proof of disability later on and even though they kept the record, it still hasn't been processed.nnTheir phone contact service is even more frustrating as you have to call as soon as they open, otherwise they will hang up on you without notice. They take forever to get back, usually about an hour to two hours wait each time.nnTo this day, I'm still contacting them and still waiting to get my payments, even though I've provided everything.nnI only recommend going in if necessary. If you do need to go in, make sure you have absolutely everything you could possibly need so you don't have to go back again.
I have attended Centrelink Greensborough three times in two weeks. Staff were helpful and I waited 5-10 minutes each time. Staff are knowledgeable and respectful. It was genuinely a positive experience for me.
