Vibe Hotel Hobart is an excellent choice if location is a priority. The hotel is perfectly positioned in the heart of Hobart, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Salamanca Place, the waterfront, restaurants, cafés, shops, and major attractions are all within a comfortable walking distance, which made getting around incredibly convenient without needing a car. The central location also means it’s easy to head out during the day and return to the hotel to rest before going back out again in the evening. Despite being in the city, the hotel feels calm and comfortable inside. The rooms are modern, clean, and well maintained, with comfortable beds and good amenities. Staff were friendly and welcoming, making check-in and the overall stay smooth and pleasant. Facilities like the indoor pool and gym are a great bonus after a day of sightseeing. Overall, Vibe Hotel Hobart offers a great balance of comfort, service, and an unbeatable location, making it a fantastic base for exploring Hobart.

We had a lovely stay at Vibe.  Sahan was so helpful with advice on parking and where we should eat.  The hotel was really suffering the lack of a second elevator out of service which was inconvenient for everyone but the staff were doing their best.  Our room was quiet and comfortable and we really enjoyed our breakfast.

I stayed here in October 2025. My room was very comfortable, good bed, great pillows. Nice items in the mini bar. Hotel is in an excellent location only a short walk to the harbour.nStaff service was impeccable, prompt, cheerful, efficient.nThe only downside for me was the breakfast - it was hard to find small choices. I ordered toast and jam and got three huge slices, way too much. Next day I tried scrambled egg on one toast, slightly better, but the sourdough toast was very hard to eat, extremely tough crusts I could hardly cut, the bread itself spongey and unattractive. Perhaps more small choices could be offered.nAnother odd thing was that the aircon in my room - 804 - only worked when the bathroom light was switched on. Maybe the wiring needs looking at.nOtherwise, a decent comfortable hotel.

First thoughts hopeless. After 2 days still hopeless with glimpses of excellence. We stayed over Christmas and will never do again. Breakfast staff excellent absolutely fantastic. Cleaners great but appears they don't  have enough time to clean rooms. Room was nice but setup terrible. We had twin share with small singles and bathroom was pathetic for shaving and makeup application. No robes for pool no slippers for pool access. No complimentary water. Went to bar to get a cocktail at 9pm and told it was closed even though advertised as 9.30 to 10. I tried ringing housekeeping to get our garbage collected from the day before no answer. Then tried ringing reception again no answer. I had to get the lift down to reception to have the garbage collected. Didn't come here for hassle and discomfort. Won't come here again. David.

This once excellent hotel is now showing noticeable wear and inconsistent service. Some staff deliver world-class hospitality, while others seem disengaged. Asking for help with bags often feels like an imposition - they’ll assist, but it’s never offered proactively. It wouldn’t take much to bring the place back to standard, but the loss of key staff in 2021 is evident. We stayed in the apartments, which weren’t cleaned well and are showing signs of poor maintenance. If their most expensive rooms look like this, it doesn’t bode well.
