We were happy with our hotel choice as first time visitors to Hobart. The hotel is well located and walking distance to the harbour, Salamanca Market and restaurants.nnWe found our room to be smaller than expected, but still comfortable and nicely styled. It would have been appreciated to have complimentary drinking water in our room.nnThe service from the reception staff was friendly and attentive.nnOverall a good experience and we would likely stay again.
Where do I even begin?nThis was our second visit to Hobart travelling from Sydney and we chose to stay in the CBD for easy access to the nightlife, while having the flexibility of parking and valet services for our day trips.nI don't usually go out of my way to share positive hotel experiences - good service is the expectation at a 4-star property - but I felt compelled to express my gratitude to the team, particularly James, with the wonderful support of Berlin, Zain, Pra, and Ahmed.nWe encountered an unusual issue involving another guest that nearly derailed our entire stay. The Mövenpick team handled it proactively and with real care - their response felt genuine, pragmatic, and always with our best interests in mind. That kind of service is rare and doesn't go unnoticed.nA special mention also goes to the facilities and the restaurant downstairs. Breakfast was honestly one of the best I've had - a full main meal option complemented by a buffet - and the character of the building made it feel like a true home away from home, especially over a longer stay.nWe'll absolutely be back for Dark Mofo. Thank you for making it such a memorable trip!
Stayed in a suite for a couple of nights and had a really enjoyable stay. The room was modern, spacious and very clean, with a comfortable bed and a well designed bathroom. The location made it easy to get around Hobart on foot, with plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. Overall, a comfortable and good value option in Hobart, and I would happily stay here again.
Very comfortable hotel in a good location in town and a very short walk to the harbour and information centre where many day tours leave.nLots to do in the area and the bus tour up mount Wellington gives great views if weather allows. The hotel restaurant is fairly small for the size of the hotel. We managed to get into the restaurant on our first night and the food was good. On our 2nd night the hotel restaurant was fully booked but we had a great meal at Fish Frenzie on the wharf just 5 minutes walk away. Hotel breakfast was excellent and rooms are comfortable. The hotel serves complimentary chocolates at 3.30. I would return to the Movenpik if I ever go back to Hobart.
Stayed for a couple of nights and could not flaw this hotel at all. Greeted with a smile every day as service was warm, professional and very helpful with all of our questions and needs.nI was upgraded to a room on level 2 looking out the front and the room size was very decent and comfortable.nHotel location is fantastic. Next door to the chemist, walking distance to supermarket, short walk to the wharfs where we took a ferry to Mona Musuem, or just walked around for dinner and desserts.nAlso walking distance to Salamanca market which was fantastic, with great food, local stores and overall atmosphere.nSmall gym located on level 2, with a filtered water tap where you can fill up your water bottle.nRestaurant downstairs Tesoro had beautiful breakfast and very nice coffees, chai included must try. As a silver Accor member it included welcome drinks as well.nDon't forget chocolate hour for your little treats, which we enjoyed very much.nnOverall very good experience, highly recommend and still stay again!
