Loved this hotel. Stayed a few nights at the beginning and end of our Tasmania trip. The first room was great, in the new part of the hotel. The second room was a fantastic upgrade as gold members, in the old part of the hotel. Very large with huge bathroom and fireplace. Service excellent throughout, including room service which catered your request for a huge bucket of ice. We did not try the restaurant but did enjoy cocktails at the sleek underground bar with a luxe speakeasy vibe. Location perfect. One request: get rid of the single use plastic water bottles and give refilled glass ones- or fit refill stations instead. There is 10min drop off parking outside the front.
I have worked in high end hotels. I have also stayed in many high end resorts.nnThe Tasman easily falls in the top end of the scale. The service was impeccable, the location for us was prime, the breakfast was extensive but would be keen to see if they rotate their hot options.nnWe had the rooms in the heritage building which I honestly prefer.nnWould definitely reccomend and would stay at again.
What a stunning Hotel.nnGreat location just up from the wharf and markets. Daniel at reception was super accommodating as we had just come off the overland trek with pre dropped bag and late check out.nnRooms are first class and bathrooms amazing. So nice to have this level of service and treated so well even after coming in 7 days after trekking in full gear.nnThis goes a long way with me and will definitely spread the word and stay again.
I came to the hotel at 10 pm after a four hour delay with flights. Tired and emotional I was checked in by Shaun who was absolutely welcoming, empathetic and we ended up sharing some amazing stories. Not only did Shaun make me feel welcome and heard but managed to remove that layer of frustration. The check in was seamless as he multitasked talking to me and I had a lovely room to continue relaxing preparing for a busy day ahead. Thanks and see you again!
During the July school holidays, we stayed at The Tasman Hobart and loved it. Arriving at night, we were warmly welcomed with mulled wine, a comforting touch on a cold Hobart evening. Our room was reasonably sized for a family of three, and the building itself was beautifully historic and well-located. The staff were attentive and added to the experience.nnWe especially enjoyed relaxing in the Deco Lounge between tours and making use of the well-equipped gym. While the rates were on the expensive side, the experience justified it. The Tasman truly deserves the accolades it has been receiving recently. Highly recommend!
