Just finished up a stay at this beautiful property and I’m very wowed. Everything from the rooms to the service was top notch, easily one of the best places I’ve stayed in a long time. The staff genuinely go above and beyond in everything. The breakfast was fantastic. Special mention to Tayla for the chat before arrival and in setting me up, and to Adrian who took me through the Cellar Experience wine tasting highly recommend. I really did not want to leave, and have already booked my return. What a great hotel and frankly an even better team working there! Thank you!
During the July school holidays, we stayed at The Tasman Hobart and loved it. Arriving at night, we were warmly welcomed with mulled wine, a comforting touch on a cold Hobart evening. Our room was reasonably sized for a family of three, and the building itself was beautifully historic and well-located. The staff were attentive and added to the experience.nnWe especially enjoyed relaxing in the Deco Lounge between tours and making use of the well-equipped gym. While the rates were on the expensive side, the experience justified it. The Tasman truly deserves the accolades it has been receiving recently. Highly recommend!
Be CarefulnThe negative rating is as a result of a mistake in the booking. I can not say how it happened. I can not say even if made a mistake when the reservation was made. The but here is that when someone looks at reservation and sees two rooms booked at the same moment on 1 charge card to 1 person, it could very likely be a mistake. For that mistake i have an extra charge on my American express of $815.00. When checking in I saw the extra booking and I was left with the impression that it was going to be removed. Later in my stay I saw it was cancelled. The person at the desk acknowledged the cancellation. With that acknowledgement I expected to see a credit on my American express. I have not seen the credit yet on my American express
We had a great single night stay at The Tasman. It's a modern hotel set in a tastefully renovated historic building, and I loved how there were info boards set around many parts of the hotel to inform guests of that history.nnWe were fortunate enough to be upgraded to one of the Heritage rooms thanks to current status, which are absolutely beautiful and of a great size. I especially loved how high the ceiling was. Service was also excellent from the start to the end of our stay, which made the short time we had in Hobart a great one.nnWould definitely love to stay again and for a longer time if we have the opportunity to visit again in the future.
