First of all the location is great and staff were friendly.nThe rooms are extremely basic and dated but were clean. Unless you book a room with a kitchen you wont have much. We got 'upgraded' but I'm not sure what too as the room was still small with no view. It's fine for a short stay. Parking costs extra.
Be very careful when booking this hotel.nWe looked on line and found this hotel with pictures of freshly renovated rooms and thought this is nice so we booked 2 nights.nWhen arriving we walked into a room that was nothing like the pictures we saw on their website. OLD and outdated was an understatement. The room was dirty and you could smell the septic coming from the sink.nI advise anyone thinking of staying here to rethink their options. We did not stay and were not given a refund.
If you need a budget hotel within the heart of Hobart city. This is a great option. Bagel Cafe in front of the hotel is the perfect choice for breakfast. Don't expect a room service or linen change if you are staying for a couple of days. Mattresses are not very comfortable and feel aged. The aircon in rooms is set at particular temperatures, but you can change the settings to cool or warm mode. Overall, it's not a bad considering the price and location.
What a great Hotel. Wonderful service. This is a great hotel for its price and in the heart of hobart with a pub right across the road and many restaurants around it. the service was fantastic very professional and polite.
Good location and friendly staff. Joshua was helpful and responded quickly to my questions by phone and email. Late check in was well organised and this is great.nnThere is a Sunday market right in front of the hotel. A great chance to pick up some souvenirs before heading home — local wine, berries, and more.nnThey offered me an extended stay, which was a nice surprise. Unfortunately, I had to return to work and could not accept it, but it was still appreciated.
