The receptionist was very pleasant and welcoming on arrival. We mentioned our stay was for our 52nd Wedding Anniversary and we were gifted with a lovely surprise bottle of wine and chocolate. The room though on the smaller size was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfy. Also it is right in the centre of town with a great pub with yummy food right opposite. We would definitely stay here again.
Probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. Tiny room, very old furniture with a shower in the bath. Hot water was terrible in the mornings, pillows were so bad we had to put towels underneath them to make them thicker. Aircon set to 25c which should’ve been warm enough, but no way was it 25c in that room. It was cold and we couldn’t change the temp. No cutlery or plates in the room except for teaspoons, no microwave. The staff happily gave us some plates and cutlery when we asked, but they had to wash them first and why not just keep some in the room instead of making people ask? The room wasn’t overly clean either, hairs in the bath tub etc. But the best part was, we found a pair of shoes under the bed along with a random single shoe. Obviously they don’t clean the rooms very well! No room service, if you want your room cleaned you have to pay for it. Apparently this is because they are “committed to supporting environmental sustainability”. On site parking is an extra $29 a night, not advertised on booking.com. Good location, but definitely not what we were expecting.
Booked through flight centre package flight centre are always great but the motel was pathetic ! Location was awesome and the staff were great but that’s where it ends. $29 a night for parking, stayed in a much nicer motel in Devonport and free security parking, stayed in a better motel in Launceston and free parking.nnBooked allurity for 10 nights and was booked for cleaning etc 6 days later, crappy bed, as uncomfortable as it gets, fixed window so no ventilation and hot water was very ordinary.nnNo microwave or cutlery, plain and quite povo really.nnOnce again staff were amazing though !nnStay elsewhere !nnI should’ve read the reviews before I booked, Tasmania is amazing though
Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and 4 days... literally the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The shower + toilet leak water during the night, there is a bad stench that comes from what I think is the pipes?, there's random stains on the roof, floor and curtain... the stain on the curtain was purposely covered by a pillow when we arrived. The hotel is also in renovations right now, so 1 elevator is unavailable, and some flooring isn't even there!! The walls are also super thin so you can hear everyone else in the hotel. It was such a terrible experience. I DO NOT recommend it to anyone
It was cramped, our water barely worked, you can't change the heater, only ONE extra blanket for three people. CRAZY. Room quality was different. They were renovating but didn't care to mention the pathetic excuses for rooms on level two. Please, the sake of all humanity and my sanity, reconsider your choices. ITS 30 DOLLAR FOR PARKING??!!!
