I will start with the negative which is small and insignificant compared to the positive of this place. I found a couple of pieces of plastic on the floor in my room when I arrived. The rest of the room was fairly clean. The room sizes are somewhat small compared to other double tree hotels with comparable or lower rates. However the location is favorable.nnLots of good I would say; staff flexible with request, quick check in/out process, daily housekeeping if requested, plenty of power outlets, comfy beds and very reasonable breakfast and bar hours. The amount of drinks available at the bar is pretty decent for a hotel in a relatively small city.nnLastly, I’d live to make mention of a few team members that made my stay special. Cheers to Andrea, Marilyn and Melanie from the kitchen/restaurant. Yogesh and Ella at the bar and Kat at the front desk! The went above and beyond and I am sure they made other guests feel special as well. This hotel is lucky you to them.
My partner and myself had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hobart for 4 nights in the middle of January and thoroughly enjoyed a truly memorable experience. The hotel was impeccably maintained — our room was flawlessly serviced, creating a genuine sense of comfort and ease.nnThe location is exceptionally convenient, within effortless reach of Hobart’s boutiques and key attractions, making it an ideal base for both leisure and exploration. Dining at Leatherwood Restaurant was a particular highlight; the cuisine was beautifully executed, and the service was exemplary — attentive, professional, and delivered with understated elegance.nnThe fitness centre is well-appointed for light training and thoughtfully equipped, allowing us to maintain our routine while travelling. My partner especially appreciated the pool, which provided a relaxing and refined space to unwind at the end of the day.nnWe would confidently recommend this hotel to discerning travellers seeking comfort, convenience, and attentive hospitality in Hobart.
Have stayed for total of 6 days, 5 nights. The frontdesk staff were absolute angels - Kat, Charles, Madhu, Devishka, Shivani. I requested to transfer to another room for the 2nd night as our initial room didn't have a nice view - it was facing adjacent hotel's rooms. So we added a couple $$ for a killer view. I would rate the new room 10/10 if only it wasn't too small. Our initial room was quite bigger - it had a sofa. The new room lost the sofa but the mountain view was unbelievable. I guess we take some, we lose some :- During this transfer, front desk arranged for housekeeping to move our stuff into the new room as we were on tour the entire day. When we got back to the hotel, our new room was ready and all our things already there. The process was smooth. Rooms, beds, linens, towels, bathrooms, swimming pool were all clean, which was a huge win for us. Brekky was 9/10 for me. I guess it's because we stayed there for a couple of days and having very similar dishes every morning quite takes aways the yum. But for a shorter stay, I would say it's wonderful. The last night in our stay was an extension because our flight was cancelled. Frontdesk swiftly arranged for the new room and transfer of our things again, which was also handled really smoothly. I just wish the rooms are a little bigger but overall happy with the staff and cleanliness of DoubleTree Hilton Hobart.
Stayed here for a birthday treat and it was just beautiful! Hobart is my hometown and the views in every direction were stunning, I couldn’t believe it when I stepped into my room. Spacious shower, comfy bed. Busy but decent breakfast and the late checkout left lots of time to enjoy the swimming pool. Loved it!
Lovely stay at a fine DoubleTree. Had a great room with views overlooking Hobart and Mount Wellington. Loved the bar and the fact they serve 6 varieties of tap beer. Good selection of Tasmanian craft beer that you can purchase and take back to your room. Staff are laid-back and friendly. Buffet has all that you need for a good breakfast.nFinally - love the SkyBus service from outside the hotel. $22 to the airport.
