A real shame that it was Valentinos last day on 23rd December after 23 years. I have some really fond memories with my late husband, my family and friends, and of late regular catchups with a friend. Always good food, and the staff and owners looked after us. I wish you all good luck in your next ventures. Thank you to your family for many years of service in the restaurant!
Went here with my friend, she ordered spaghetti primavera and I ordered spaghetti arrabiata. My pasta was very under seasoned and I had to add a lot of salt. The atmosphere and decor is nice, but the food is very standard for a family-friendly Italian restaurant.
Highly recommended. Amazing food and loved the décor. Had a Gnocci Pesto pasta and it was cooked to perfection. Service was on point too, our waitress Marianne was very welcoming, fun and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely will come back soon!
First time back here in awhile and the restaurant was nearly empty. The service was good but very slow in receiving meals. The quality of the food has declined. The pizza was under cooked and tasteless with not much topping. It's a shame because I remember how great it was in high street and when they first moved to York rd. Hoping it gets back to its heyday standard soon.
So disappointed with our experience. The only nice thing was the garlic pizza. The pizzas were definitely not as nice as other wood fired pizzas in Penrith. The ingredients were not fresh and for the first time witnessed salt being put on pasta due to lack of flavour. The quality does not match the price and was just so disappointing
Went to Valentinos to celebrate my birthday as it was highly recommended. There was a group of ten of us and it was not busy at all. We waited about 30 minutes for drinks and had to keep asking, we were told the bar was ‘backed up’ The food was honestly the worst food I’ve ever had. The pasta looked and tasted like it came from a frozen ready made meal. Hardly any meat and just unseasoned watered down sauce on pasta. The chicken Limone and Crema looked grey and unappealing. The chicken tasted like it was boiled. The catch of the day was like fish cardboard. Nobody could finish their meals and I’m sad to say we would not even feed it to our dogs. So incredibly disappointing and my husband paid over $500 for the displeasure. The service was beyond poor… the meals came out sporadically and we were eating our mains at different times 10-20 minutes between individually meals being brought out. The only positives I have is the staff were friendly and the people who ordered pizza said it was good. Please don’t waste your money here unless you’re ordering pizza.
Went with friends. Poor service no service left alone had to ask to order food. Pasta all 4 dishes were bland. Staff on their phones chatting to each other. Drinks menu was poor with choice. Pizza was good nothing special.
Came in at 6 it’s currently 7:30 didn’t get food till 8, Sat ourself down and had to go up and ask if we could have someone give us menus……after 10 mins of just staring. The Food wasn’t restaurant standard Maccas does better service. Garlic pizza is literally cheese and oil, the most basic bolognaise was no flavour not even parmigiana. 2 people of the group waited an extra 10 mins while everyone else was already eating. I never complain because working in service I have some compassion but seriously it doesn’t get this bad in a few months, it takes poor management and staff who refuse to listen or care even when we’re waving them down.
We’ve been so excited to try this place. Quite disappointed, frankly. Waited about 10 minutes to get someone to come and take our order, then about 40-50 minutes for our food, which was made wrong too. Unfortunately, I will not be back and would not recommend.
Have always loved this place. The pizza is to die for. Freshly made wood fired pizza. I always order more so I have some for lunch the next day. Definitely worth a visit.
