Fair prices, comfortable campervan and excellent service!! We've traveled from Brisbane to Cairns in 20 days with Travelwheels. It was an experience of a lifetime! We got some excellent advise for our journey at the pickup location from the guys from Travelwheels in Brisbane. The campervan (we got the hitop) itself is well equipped and has comfortable (and long) beds and prices are fair. It's a comfortable van for long distance travelling although cruise control would have been nice to have. The drop off in Cairns was quick. By accident we left some valuable items in the campervan which we only realised after drop off. We needed these items back as soons as possible, so we called them late in the evening. They assured us everything would be fine. We got our belongings delivered at our hotel the next morning within 1 hour after contacting them again (on a national holiday!). We couldn't have asked for better service! Thanks Travelwheels!

We googled Travel wheels, picked up our van from Cairns and explored Byron bay and Blue mountains in Sydney camped right down near the beach and watched the sunset.. amazing! easy bed to set up , comfortable. The staff are very friendly and quick service.

This was our second van we have hired from Travelwheels. This was our last trip before heading to New Zealand to go bungy jumping! We decided to use these guys as the price was cheap, and they guaranteed to beat all competitor prices out of Cairns going to Sydney! That is exactly what we need to save some money! We emailed them and said we hired before and they immediately offered us 20% discount on our deal, nice one! Originally we were going to do a two week tour from Cairns to Sydney, but the guys in the office said that was too short to have a relaxed holiday. We took their advice and after our trip was really glad we spent four weeks on the east coast back to Sydney! Two weeks would have been a massive rush, so really appreciated the advice from the guys. They printed out and send us a PDF route planner between Cairns and Sydney detailing all the best things to see. Also gave us a link to free camp sites on east coast of Australia as well and that helped us to save money. Can't fault the staff, extremely helpful, and loads of hints and tips to save money on the route. The campervan was similar to the last one we hired. Toyota Hitop older budget model. The van was not new, but was very clean and had everything we needed. We looked at newer vans, but the prices were so much higher! Companies such as Britz and Apollo have great vans, but the prices too high for us! We preferred a cheaper budget van and this was we can save money on our trip! That meant we saved enough money to do a skydrive from Cairns (amazing!) and a 3 day whitsundays sailboat cruise (highly recommended) by going for a budget van.

We got a great last minute deal for Cairns to Sydney campervan hire holiday. We ohoned up about 15 companies all doing campervan hire in Cairns and these guys were the most helpful. We shopped around and asked these guys to beat a competitor quote from Jucy campers and they shaved off $200 of the quote which meant we saved enough for a free skydive! The van was clean, had all the kit inside and was the best way to travel along the east coast. Favourite places to visit included Mon Repo to see the baby turtles being born and then swimming to the sea (amasing experience). Really loved doing the night hike to Mount Warning near Nimbin. Takes about three hours to get to the top during the night abd it is the very first place on mainland Australia to see the sun rise as in the east coast. Incredible experience. Loved the Dorrigo national park which is magical! Spent a week sleeping in the campervan right at the beach in Byron Bay whilst learning to surf (highly reommended) The campervan was definitely the best way to see the coastline and woukd recommend it to anybody looking to explore the east coast of australia. Dropped the van off in Sydney and the guys were friendly and even dropped us back in the city centre as we had one night in sydney befire flying back to England. Dani who works in the Sydney branch was very helpful :-)

DO NOT BOOK WITH TRAVEL WHEELS Travel Wheels is by far the worst company I have dealt with. It all started with our pick up point. A dingy wreckers down a back alley of a dead end street. Our taxi driver didn't even feel ok leaving us behind. The guy who handed us the old mobile phone to complete our payment before we headed off was the nicest person we met that 'worked' for Travel Wheels. From our second day in the van it started making terrible noises and barely seemed drivable. As stated in the terms of our agreement we contacted Travel Wheels immediately and didn't continue to drive the vehicle. We were asked by the travel wheels representative if the van still went and when we said yes he told us to keep driving. When we reached our next destination, after not being able to use the air conditioner for the shocking noise it made, (awesome in north QLD) we called the company AGAIN. Nobody answered and we left a message for someone to call us back. No one did, until we called again the next day. We asked to return the Van and were told there was no depot. We offered to drive it back to the nearest depot we were told they would charge us a further $400 to do so and we would not receive another vehicle. We kept driving down the coast as directed. At our next stop with the noise increasing we called roadside assistance who advised us to continue driving at our own peril. One of the fans had come loose and there was a possibility it may blow, spraying sharp blades back in to the motor. We phone Travel Wheels and advised them, they said that we would have to call back the next day. We called the next day, text them with details of where the van was and offered to let them take it to be fixed for the entire day. They said they would call us back and never did. The next day we drove it back to Brisbane and off loaded it at a caravan depot for multiple companies. They were lovely and all of the other vans they had in their shop were being cleaned and checked over mechanically. When I asked if we showed them the problems with the van we were told that Travel Wheels no longer had their vehicles serviced, were always owing the depot money and they most peoples experience were exactly the same. DO NOT BOOK TRAVEL WHEELS. We never met one person that worked for them, the people of varying accents we spoke to on the phone were bullies and they definitely do not look after their fleet.
