My husband bought a Toyota Hilux from Top End Motors Cairns.  Despite the fact there was a sticker on the vehicle showing a recent service, we took it along to our mechanic for another service.  Just as well.  The mechanic noticed the radiator was full of grass.  We took it to a radiator specialist after I was told by Top End Motors it was not covered by statutory warranty.  The radiator specialist told us it was that full of grass and mud that he was amazed the motor had not overheated and cooked the motor already.  See the photos - see the white bits in the radiator - thats a light shining through the radiator to show where air could get through.... as you can see, hardly anything!  If we had gone on a long trip, we could have been stuck in the middle of nowhere with expensive retrieval costs, and of course, a new motor is not cheap!  This radiator condition was not mentioned in the RACQ report provided by Top End Motors, so again, very thankful we took it to our own mechanic who spotted the problem.

Avoid at all costs. Very friendly to start with before you part with money then they don’t want to know you. I recently brought a car from them, firstly the “after care” lady sold me tint for a car I already knew had tinting at over double the cost I could have had it done for. Eventually I was refunded which is the only good thing I have to say about them. I drove the car for the first time after the test drive and discovered a metal singing sound coming from the front wheel. Turned out it was only the wheel arch carpet which they put new clips in. Nothing major but had only had the car a matter of hours. Next was a day or 2 later I noticed a scraping sound, again from the front wheel. I booked it into my mechanic and turned out to be another minor fix. 2 things wrong in 2 days. Now nearly a month has gone by and I start the car to have numerous warning lights on the dash remain on! Needless to say I’m extremely pissed and I dread to think the cost. A recent move interstate has stopped me driving the car through their front door! Avoid avoid avoid!!!!

Only place to go for a used anything on 4 wheels these guys are so in touch even if they haven't got it in stock they'll have a big go at finding it for you
