Do not recommend this park at all there is not much to do around the area. The pool photos are very deceiving it’s the tiniest pool you will ever see. The staff is extremely rude, we had to wait 3 hours to get our cabin after the checkin time . There are way more better parks to explore than this one. The shared kitchen fridge is so tiny that only one family can hardly put their food in there let alone the whole park. I am not sure what the ‘Pet friendly’ clause actually includes when nothing actually was pet friendly and or had any pet safe spaces.
Poor form for a big 4 I normally love them. Very small dirty pool the pictures on website make it look way bigger was very cloudy water not clear, looks like not enough chlorine couldn't see kids under water. All the kids became very sick on departure and it in hindsight I think this was due to the pool. Looks like no maintenance specific person attending to it and just receptionist doing it at night q. Also noticed major maintenance the ropes course is of course not open but there was a broken Jumping pillow, unsafe playground steps both became closed at some point during our stay. Leaves all over the mini golf, unsafe gym equipment, ball cannon not operating in play centre. The park is nothing special and doesn't live up to a big 4 reputation. Wrote an email and 7days later no reply even though reception said I would get a response. So disappointing. Not worth the money I expect more from big 4 brand.
Great for kids! Lots to do, was a great please to stay after being on the road so long, had a warm shower and washed & dried out cloths and was ready for the road again, did not want to leave. Good if u get up the front of the park so not to far to walk with kids.
Stay here quite frequently for work, this last time for a whole week, disappointed that not once do you get clean towels, a cabin that sleeps 5 had 2 towels for 5 days, no room serviced at all, saw another review saying the same with response “this is not a motel” well you can stay in a motel for $100 we were charged $175 per night for a little cabin. Have stayed in hundreds of places that service the cabins during your stay. The second bedroom doesn’t even have a door just like a divider slide across curtain that doesn’t even close properly Very poor service for the price Asked for clean towels and was told to goto reception before 6pm
The shower / bathroom full of black mould, there was a spill of red liquid on the wall that wasn’t cleaned up. The couch underneath the cushions was full of food and bottle caps that were not ours. It had clearly been a while since the couch had been cleaned / vacuumed. The toilet smelt like urine on the floor/walls. The curtains are mostly broken and falling off the rails. The playground was half broken. Upon arrival to the cabin we had no tea towel, no dishwashing liquid and no dish cloth. They provide some knives a set that has missing parts but no chopping board to chop anything on. The pool was dirty, the baby pool isn’t very deep but you couldn’t see the bottom it was that murky. The pool says solar heated but even on a 33 degree day during a week of hot days it was freezing cold. We ended up going to the Traralgon Leisure centre instead. It was nice to be away on a family getaway and the jumping pillow was good fun, so overall we had a good holiday but the place needs a lot of work. It’s also quite small so it felt cramped as it was fully booked so a lot of noise. There was some metal plank connected the road to the driveway of the cabin next to us and kids drove over it on scooters about 1000 times during the day and it made a super loud clanging noise. They did it late like up til 11pm which was not fun. Not sure why it was there but I’d suggest a different method to fix it than something temporary and loud like that.
We arrived at the camp site and been told our site is slightly apart from each other 2 family under 1 booking. Turns out our site is on the opposite end of the park even we ring and left a remark on the booking to have them next to each other. There were 2 empty site opposite to my tent and we asked if we could move my friend’s tent there so that at least we are opposite to each other. We were informed those site paid $25 fees to have sites together. Fair enough. However, as we set up our tents and talk to our neighbors, turns out they don’t even know each other and only book the site a week ago. The next day, we booked a mini train ride at 11am. Kid patiently waited for 15 mins, went to reception and been told they’re was a delay and the train will be there at 11:30. We waited for another 15mins, still no sign of train. We went to the reception to have our tickets refunded. No apologies, just said they were busy and the manager is about to get the train after she finish making coffees for customers. We would truly appreciate if we were told at 11am that the train is not available instead of making us wait for 30-40 mins. All the kids activities school holiday program are either delayed or cancelled without notification. Kids are extremely disappointed because they are waiting for nothing. Amenities needs more attention more often. Rope course is closed. Swimming pool is small and doesn’t look clean. There are better parks out there.
Don’t know how or why it’s rated so highly, just had a stay over the weekend, check in times at 2 I arrived at 4 to check in, got told my cabin wasn’t ready, wasn’t ready till 5! 3 hours past the original check in time. Microwave was broken wouldn’t work, air conditioner didn’t work either, the pool was absolutely tiny and murky brown water, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for 3 days, wouldn’t recommend don’t waste your money.
The staff were lovely and the experience was amazing. My cabin was spotless and was very nice . Although some of the attractions were closed, the park on the whole was so welcoming. It’s so close and accessible to the whole of Taralgon. I will definitely stay here again!!!
Curb your enthusiasm and lower your expectations to avoid disappointment. The gym is run down and unsafe treadmill not working and has holes in it, yes holes in a treadmill, dumbbells with no properly fitting collars, bike doesn't work, equipment is too close to each other. I'm certain the gym is in a condition where if an accident occurred they would be liable. It is incredibly unsafe. Free wifi is useless, better use your mobile data Doors in the cabin get stuck, spring beds are very noisy, mattresses can't carry the weight of an adult. I hope you like high pillows because they have two types, high and very high. Outdoor lights at night are very bright and therefore prevent you from sleeping due to the lack of any blockout curtains. People take their stubbies to the children's playground, swimming pool, etc. No one from staff enforcing rules. The outdoor pool can get very cold and I am not sure how well maintained it is as both kids got pretty sick after using it Not enough toilet paper, they give you 10ml of dishwashing liquid, no paper towels, no where to dry dishes. Tv works but wrong remote supplied Oh and it's close to the Princess hwy obviously so if you were expecting it to be quiet then you are engaging in wishful thinking. That's before you remember there's a train line and airport nearby nothing the park can do about that but something to consider. Expect noise all through the night. Bottom line lower your expectations of this place. It's a very "budget" experience
We haven't stayed here, but we visited for the activites they offer for non guests Indoor play area for big & little kids High Rope Course Mini Golf with awesome themes and props Laser Tag Great fun for the kids and the perfect pit stop for a roatrip. Change facilities, toilets and parking on site. No food options except for hot drinks and small snacks sold at reception. We went to Butter Factory and Augustus Gelato in town.
