Morwell Motel offers dynamic, modern rooms creating a pleasurable experience for corporate travellers and travelling couples alike.

Story

After spending half a million dollars in late 2012 Morwell Motel has re-opened with state of the art rooms featuring 42″ LED TV’s, Inverter split system air conditioning, Full Size Fridges, Microwaves, Nespresso Coffee Machines and Sony iPod/iPhone Docks.

All of our rooms are fitted out with beautifully planked floors, furniture that we have hand built overseas in amazing timber leather combinations with granite tops on everything from our desks to our bedside tables. Custom made built in beds with PENTHOUSE mattresses supplied by AH BEARD Australia and topped with modern high end linen.

Morwell Motel also has an onsite gym/fitness room, and there is a complimentary guest laundry. The motel is within easy walking distance of Red Rooster and several restaurants, pubs and clubs that our guests can charge back to their room from. Being a small 22 room boutique motel we pride ourselves on providing a warm, friendly and welcoming service for our guests.

It's been a great year, playing trivia weekly at the Top Pub in Morwell. Nick has been an awesome host supported by Renae on the odd occasions Nick couldn't make it. It's mostly because of these two we went weekly on the Wednesday evening. Other tables of players are all good people who also make the nights fun. We made a lot of friends this way.nI have always felt safe at the venue and have never seen any trouble.nI must also give thanks to all the bar staff who took our orders and served us our meals. They are always happy and friendly making everything easy for us. The chefs do a professional job getting meals out to so many people.nLooking forward to another year of trivia in 2026.nLoretta and Kevin
Went for lunch and ordered the garlic bread with cheese, it was very good. Ordered off the $15 lunch menu, got a chicken Parm, chips, salad. It was very good. Recommend going. This was my first time but I'll be going back. Awesome staff too.
We went camping with our children and chose this restaurant because it has a playground where the kids can play. However, the restaurant provided absolutely no service. From the moment we entered, they only told us our table number and did not provide a menu, although the table next to us had one. I tried to order using the QR code on the table, but iced latte was not listed. So I went to the counter to order, and the staff told me they don’t sell iced coffee because they don’t have ice cubes. But the kids’ juice had ice cubes in it? The children were tired and couldn’t finish their food, so we wanted to pack it to go. When we asked the staff, they said they don’t have takeway containers because they don’t offer takeway. There are hotels right next door, don't guests ever ask for takeout to eat at the hotel? The sign at the entrance says they offer a breakfast box. Are we being discriminated against because we are Asian? I have worked in the food and beverage industry for 15 years and have never seen service like this.
We have been here many times and enjoyed our meal but yesterday was extremely disappointing, to begin with asking someone for ID when they are half way through a drink is a little to late if they where image and the pepper gravy was served tasted like chemicals, I’m not sure what was done to it but made the meal iunable to be eaten. There was no staff to been seen to say anything to we left very disheartened
Worth the drive over from Traralgon. Service is always pleasant and the head chef Helen puts a lot of love into her meals. The pub plus app is fantastic on saving deals. Always walk out happy and well fed. Thank you!
