Good decor, good service. Very poor value for money. The portion sizes are so small at ~$20 a main, of which the waitress recommended we order 2-3 per person. I didn't like the food, the flavours seemed mismatched and confused. There are definitely much better places to go on this budget.

My husband and our went here for our anniversary dinner and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere and vibes are incredible. We stumbled into what appeared to be a mix of a greenhouse and a modern restaurant. We didn't have a booking and were seated straight away. They serve several small dishes that are encouraged to share between. Together we had a five dishes between us and were stuffed! Don't let the size fool you! Next time we are in Melbourne we will definitely be coming back. It's definitely quality over quantity!

We dined here last night. I loved the layout of the venue, and the taste of the food was good, but I felt overpriced for what was delivered. We found the layout of the menu confusing and the information from the waiter, more so. The $55 dollar per head shared menu, sounded like a great concept, but when the waiter was asked what dishes would be provided, he informed us it was up to the chefs disgression. I can see in a previous review a customer has posted photos, one including lettuce cups. ( 4 sections of baby cos)Interestingly we ordered the same dish for a table of four. We received 3 barely garnished pieces of baby cos. When we asked the waiter if it were suppose to have four pieces, considering it was a table of four, he said no. Really disappointed with this, and disappointed with the pricing.

I tend to eat a lot of nice food and this place just didn't deliver on the standard they set where plates are not only expensive but also small (designed for sharing). Without any vitriol, I can easily say there are better places to put your money. Each dish we tried was nice and mixed things up from traditional restaurant meals which made each dish more interesting, but sadly nothing was ever really exceptional. There wasn't any real subtlety of flavours coming out over time from each mouthful or any dish where ingredients really "popped". If you do end up going, the eggplant and the individual tacos were both the better dishes but you could probably do just as well at home if you can cook and find a recipe for that dish. It's hard to say this without sounding mean, but I would also say that the staff seemed highly strung and gave off very odd vibes in a way that was hard to describe. One of the staff told my group very sharply about the end time of our reservation and that we were cutting into our time waiting for someone. At the end we were also handed the EFTPOS machine to pay more if we wanted to give a tip but it felt very much like you should give one or be judged. The experience was nice enough but not compelling enough to tip for. Generally the staff were quite nice so it's hard to critique them without discrediting their hard work but interactions felt very tense. Overall it's hard to rate this place much higher unless I end up going again and there have been improvements to both the food and the culture. For others I wouldn't really recommend it, given the price vs quality right now where food in Melbourne is at such a standard that food can't just be nice -- it has to balance flavour and texture in a way that warrants going out and paying $30+.

The pros: Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, and food was no doubt tasty. Good place to bring a date you want to impress with your deep pockets, refined palate, and pretentious conversations about ethical consumption. Also great if you want to impress your friends with the story about how you once paid $18 for a burnt carrot. The cons: Your hostess will encourage you to get the Feed Me option for $55/head because she knows that the vegetarian food here is meant to feed little rich rabbits. The “mains” made for “sharing” will consist of something like 1 carrot and garnish or an oyster mushroom cut into dainty pieces and 3 dots of sauce. Each main is an average of $20 for what is basically a side dish. I could have easily eaten 3-4 dishes myself. I shudder to think what is the size of an actual side dish; a spoon of pumpkin purée to share between two? We were a group of 6 and we ordered 6 mains plus drinks, paying an average of $30/head. We’re not large eaters but we all left hungry and had to get pizza down the road after our “dinner”.
