Nice walk. Would recommend taking at least 2l of water per person and sunscreen as it can be very open and hot at times. Great views if you go to the top

Great for bird watching and the mountain bike tracks a pretty good. You can walk out to Shelly cove or for an even longer walk, shelly beach. The many Peak trail is also quite nice taking you to the summit of mt Marlow.

It was a bit dry and sad on the last visit (2 years of drought) but with the recent rain it will be worth another visit to the bird watching platforms. All up the kids still enjoyed the hot long walk to see 15 different bird species.

The area is nice, roads are terrible. If you go slow its rough if you go the limit its rough. Check your Shocks and your tyres before you go.

A beautiful part of Australia. It makes me appreciate being an Aussie having such incredible places like this. Even though it's very dry around Townsville and the birds were not here in great numbers i still saw things ive only imagined. A snake in the water hole swiming around, the wide open flat land. I think i understand why the Aboriginal people have such a close relationship with this land. I wouldn't trade this beautiful country that i call my home for anything.
