The best place for Kids and Family specially in Summer, Its beautiful and cool more over its free. My daughter and her friends love to go there during school holidays and weekends. Good place to cool down in hot summer, we had great time when our friends visited from south we took them there they loved it. Specially Big bucket and there is plenty of place for family to hang around there.

This is a terrific park. If you are there a bit before 0900, you'll be delighted by the screams of a dozen kids as the water turns on and they all rush towards it. There are many different water gizmos to try and they are safe for kids of all ages. I can confirm they're even fun for adults, as I went there 5 times and saw other adults trying them out.

The council and locals have done a wonderful job making this a friendly, clean family-friendly environment. The beach is well maintained, the nets are regularly dredged for seaweed and there are plenty of shady spots to throw down a beach towel and unwind. I also love the Strand Night Markets too!

Awesome Time Playing on the two water slides at Strand Water Park this afternoon before watching the early New Years Eve 2017 - 18 Fireworks Display from the beach. Love the Kms long wide path right along The Strand with all the activities along it as well as the lovely large grasses area of Strand Park. Kids enclosed playground. Rock Pool at Northern End. Great place to walk, Jog, Skateboard, Roller blade & everything under the sun or shade. I loved it so much way back in 1996 that I migrated from Victoria to Live here permanently in 2007.

A wonderful place for people of all ages to stroll, walk, run or skate along the well-maintained and wide concrete paths. Exercise locations for adults and play equipment for children made it a good spot to burn off some energy with ocean and Magnetic Island views. Even the odd BBQ is built in for people to enjoy some time by the water. An asset to Townsville's community.
