First, this takeaway restaurant is now called Top Town Takeaways. While the location is nothing fancy, the staff was very nice and there's a little bit of seating just outside. We took our food on the road with us and I wish we had stayed to tell the staff how much we enjoyed it. My wife had the fried mussels. I had the Bloke Burger and it was hands down the best takeaway burger I've had in a long time. It was huge, chock full of good meat, and almost too much to finish.

Friendly staff. Good food. A little pricy, but this is normal for small town. Pretty good overall.

The rudest experience I have ever had in Coromandel. Staff (and boss apparently) sitting outside smoking in full uniform. Swearing to each other as we walked in with our 5 year old child. We made a comment regarding how expensive they were ($9 for a snapper) compared to Auckland prices where the staff sat out front made a rude remark about us going back to Auckland then. At that point I decided I wasn't going to spend my money there and left. At this point the staff said, yeah, you leave, go down the road instead. Which we did. They were very helpful down there, and the food was lovely.
